Congratulations to Caroline and Gary O’Donnell, Doochary on the birth recently of their second child, a baby brother for Jordan. Gary is a son of Jimmy and Mary O’ Donnell, Mullantyboyle, Glenties.

Congratulations to Claire and Columba Gavigan, Glen Road, Glenties on the birth recently of their second child, a baby brother for Charley Marie.

Congratulations to Michelle and Aaron Webber, New Jersey, U.S.A. on the birth recently of their third child, a little sister for Briana and Keelin. Michelle is a daughter of Mary and the late Gerry Melly, Tullyard Road, Glenties.

Congratulations to the boys and girls who received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Philip Boyce in St. Colmcille’s Church, Fintown on Sunday last 21st March.

Congratulations to Brendan Mc Dyer, who recently returned from climbing to the summit of Africa’s highest peak, the famous snow-capped mountain, Kilimanjaro. He reached Uhuru Peak (19,340 feet) in time for the sunrise on the morning of the 11th March 2004. Brendan is a son of Hugo and Anna Mc Dyer, Main St. Main Street, Glenties. Well done Brendan!

The children of the Parish will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next Sunday 21st March in St. Colmcille’s Church, Fintown at 11.00a.m.

Congratulations to Anne and Martin Breslin, Straboy, Glenties on the birth recently in Letterkenny Hospital of their third child, a baby brother for Conor and Ronan.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Maura Mc Bride, Donegal Road, Ballyshannon, formerly Mc Loone of Main St. Glenties, who died in hospital in Dublin on Saturday 13th March following a short illness.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Mary Grant, Cornass, who died suddenly at her home on Friday 12th March 2004. Mary was a native of Killybegs and was buried in Killybegs on Sunday. One sister, Anna Baskin, Cornass, niece Avril, and brother-in-law Albert survive her.

Siobhan O’Donnell, daughter of Nora and the late Jack O’ Donnell, Ard Patrick, Glenties married Tyrone Cooper in the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, White Plains, New York on 14th February 2004. . Tyrone is a son of Robert and Kathy Cooper, New York. Fr. Collins officiated and celebrated Nuptial Mass. Her brother, Michael gave the bride away and her friends in America, Frances, Missey, Lix, Tara, & Alexa and an Irish friend, Catriona Gallagher, who travelled to the U.S. for the occasion, attended her. Tyrone’s friend, Rodney was bestman and other friends; Wayne, Jimmy, Paul, Mark and Matt were groomsmen. Aoife Jordan, niece of the bride was a flowergirl and Shaun Haugh, nephew of the bride was a pageboy. Her brother-in-law, Tom Jordan read Prayers of the Faithful. Both mothers brought the Gifts to the Altar. The reception was held in Graziela’s and the honeymoon was spent in Mexico. Siobhan’s mother and all the family travelled from Ireland for the happy event.
