Christmas Day Bingo:
Bingo will be on Christmas Day at the earlier time of 7p.m. instead of on Christmas Eve this year in the Glenties Community Centre.

Graduation:
Congratulations to Liam Martin, Glenties, on his graduation at Athlone Institute of Technology with First Class Honours in Business. Liam is a son of Patsy and Bernie Martin, Church Road, Glenties and is a past pupil of Scoil Mhuire and St. Columba’s Comprehensive School, Glenties

Sympathy:
Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Peter Mc Mahon, Fintown, who died recently.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the wife, family, relatives and friends of Pat Molloy, Mill Road, Glenties, who died on Tuesday 5th November and was buried on Thursday.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Marina Mc Ghee, Kentucky, Ardara, (formerly Gildea of Mill Road, Glenties) who died on Saturday 9th November 2013 and was buried in Ardara on Monday.

World Remembrance Day for Victims of Road Traffic Accidents:
The 11 a.m. Mass on Next Sunday -17th November will be celebrated for this intention. If you would like to have a friend or relative remembered at this Mass, please telephone Anne Mannering 089 974 6050.

Confirmation:
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be administered in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Sunday 18th May 2014 at 11 a.m.

Trocaire Syria Appeal:
The numbers are staggering 8.4 million people in urgent need of vital humanitarian aid; 5.8 million people forced to abandon their homes; 1.8 million people seeking shelter in neighbouring countries. Behind each of those figures are real people, people who have lost everything and urgently need your help. Trócaire is helping to bring vital aid to the people who need it most. We are working with local partners to provide food, shelter, clean water, and other basic needs for women, children, and men, forced to flee their homes. Already, over 255, 855 Syrian refugees have benefited from our support; but this crisis is deteriorating so rapidly that we are appealing for you to help us reach even more people.100% of every donation received to our Syria emergency appeal will go directly to our response to this devastating crisis. ”A Special Collection for Trócaire’s Syria Appeal will be taken up at all Masses next weekend.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo in the Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday night at 9 p.m. Every line is €50, every house is €100. Jackpot if not won, will be €9000 on the 19/11/2013, if not won on the night €300, will be paid out. In house draws. Bingo will be on Christmas Day this year instead of Christmas Eve.

Bowls: Bowls in the Centre every Monday night at 8 p.m.
Tai Chi: Tai Chi is on in the centre on Wednesday night at 8pm.
Drama Classes for children: Helen O’Grady Academy Drama classes for children are on every Thursday evening from 5 p.m.
Snooker: Snooker room is open from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. every evening. Bookings for the Community Centre contact 087 2679321.

Positions Available:
There are still positions available on the Glenties Community Centre Amalgamated C.E. scheme. D.S.P. criteria apply. For more information contact 087 9695053.

Parish Social:
The Glenties Parish Social will take place on Sunday 1st December in the Highlands Hotel, commencing at 3 p.m. with Mass. A warm welcome is extended to all our Senior Citizens. The Committee would appreciate any Donations or Raffle Prizes towards the running costs of the event.

Naomh Connaill C.L.G.:
The Club’s “Strictly Come Jiving” will take place on Saturday 23rd November in the Highlands Hotel at 8 p.m. Tickets, priced €15, are now on sale from the Highlands Hotel, The Inniskeel Co-Op, Maxwell’s, Ballinamore and from any of the dancers.

Cake Sale:
Glenties Day Care Centre will hold a Cake and Craft Sale in The Community Centre next Sunday 17th November after 11a.m. Mass. Please support this worthy cause.
