Eucharistic Bell
The 50th International Congress will take place from the 10th June to the 17th June 2012 in Dublin. As part of the preparations for this historic event every Parish / Diocese is asked to prepare for this huge International Church Event. A Eucharistic Bell, representing ‘the call to prayer’, will travel around each Parish and Diocese in Ireland. On Thursday morning 5th May it comes to Glenties from Dungloe Parish. The Congress Bell will arrive in Ard Patrick, where a procession will carry it along the Main Street and into the Church. Benediction followed by a Votive Mass of the Holy Eucharistic, will take place. Volunteers from the parish are needed – already the young people from the local schools and groups will participate – but we need more help. If you would like to help in any way, please contact Fr. Shane on 9551136 and for more information please go to the official Eucharistic Congress website – www.iec2012.ie
