New Arrivals:
Congratulations to Maria and Richie Quigley, Stone Park, Glenties on the birth recently of their baby girl.

Congratulations to Ann and Thomas Donoghue, Narin Road, Glenties on the birth on Friday 15th November 2013 of their first child, a baby girl.

The Friends of Letterkenny Hospital Church Gate Collection taken up recently in Glenties, amounted to € 641.50. Thanks to all those who contributed.

Sympathy:
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Fanny Billingsley, Mullantyboyle and formerly of Letterilly, Glenties, who died recently.

Self-Help for Africa Collection:
The ‘Self-Help for Africa Church Gate Collection’, taken up recently in Glenties, amounted to €606.53. Thanks for your generosity to this worthy cause.

Church Gate Collection:
Glenties National School GYM ~ the Church Gate Collection next weekend Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th November will be go towards the funding of the Gym at Scoil Mhuire. The Committee appeals for your generous support “The Future of The Gym is in Your Hands”.

Glenties Community Alert:
Our Annual Collection taken up at Glenties and Edeninfagh Churches last weekend amounted to € 600.00. Thank you for your generous support; Glenties Community Alert is in operation for over 20 years and has 55 monitored alarms installed in houses in our community, with more pending funding. If anyone wishes to apply for a monitored alarm we can be contacted at 0749551766 or the local Garda Station.

Collection Envelopes:
Your Help would be appreciated in helping us to compile the 2014 List for Sunday Collection Envelopes; Any New Parishioner who would like a box of envelopes, or any parishioner who has Changed Address since this time last year, should leave name and address in the Sacristy after any of The Masses, or telephone the Parochial House 0749551117. Thank You.

Glenties Parish Social:
The Christmas Parish Social will take place on Sunday 1st December in the Highlands Hotel, commencing at 3.00 p.m. with Mass; and a warm welcome is extended to all our Senior Citizens. The Committee will appreciate any Donations or Raffle Prizes towards the running costs of the event.

Athletics Club:
An information evening will be held in St. Columba’s Comprehensive School on Tuesday 19th November at 8 p.m. to inform parents of the upcoming launch of an athletics centre for the local area. This athletics centre will be opened to all individuals 8 years and over. Trial sessions will also commence on 26th November at the Comprehensive School Gym at 6.30 p.m for anyone interested in taking part. Everyone is welcome.

Johnny Boyle Water Colours Art Class:
Johnny Boyle Water Colours Art Class in the Highlands Hotel, beginning Tuesday 19th November at 8 p.m. For more details contact the Hotel 0749551111.

Collection:
The Church Gate Collection for the Dungloe Branch of the Mental Health Association taken up recently in Glenties amounted to € 618.18 Thank you to everyone for your generosity.

Glenties Knitters:
Glenties Knitters meet on Thursday mornings at 11.00 a.m. in the Highlands Hotel to learn and share the skills of knitting and crochet or come along just to chat and have a cup of tea or coffee.

Glenties Annual Christmas Market:
Glenties Annual Christmas Market and Craft Fair takes place on Sunday 15th December in The Highlands Hotel, Glenties from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For details and Table Bookings contact Adele on 074 0551457.

Leo’s BBQ:
The McLoone Family, Leo’s Bar, Glenties would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support of the BBQ, which was held in aid of Letterkenny Hospital. A cheque for € 1,400 will be handed over this week. Thanks again for your help and support.
