Glenties Notes 24th September 2014

Well Done and No Shame:
Even though we did not get to bring the cups home we are still proud of you lads. It was a great achievement to get the two teams to the All Ireland Final and some of us in an older generation never thought we would ever see the day.

Bingo:
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties on Tuesday 17th September were – €15 Winners – Cissie Meehan, Bella Mc Gill, Bridie Doherty, Bridie Mc Callig; € 20 Winners – Ann Byrne, Frances Cunningham and James O’ Donnell; € 25 Winners – Nora Quinn and Mary Doherty, € 50 Winners – Maura Bodger, Teresa Glacken, Bean Boyle, Amanda O’ Connell, Renee Mulhern, Gerry Doherty, Bid Fletcher, Mary Ellen Bonner and Margaret Gallagher, € 60 Winner – Fay Moor; €100 Winners -Isobel Mc Loone, Breege Gallagher, James Deen, Paddy Moore, Margaret Murray, Johnny O’Donnell, Martin Molloy, Ellen Ann Orpan, Claire Keeney € 300 Winner – Fay Moore.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo held in Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday Night at 9 p.m.

Snooker:
Snooker room open Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 10pm. Saturday, Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tai Chi:
Tai Chi every Wednesday night 8 p.m -9.30 p.m.

Bowls:
Bowls every Monday night.

New CE Scheme:
New CE scheme starts on 22nd September 2014, any one willing to start contact 087 9695053 for more details. FAS criteria apply.

Drama Classes:
Drama Classes begins 9th October 2014 5-7 .pm.
An Grianan Theatre presents’ Frank Pig Says Hello’ a Play by Pat Mc Cabe in Glenties Community Centre on Friday 3rd October 2014, Show starts at 8.30 p.m.

Glenties Foroige:
Glenties Foroige will have a Registration Night on Friday 26th September at 8 p.m. in the Youth Club. .The Youth Club is situated at The Rock (Old Laundry Building). Anyone wishing to register must attend with a parent, or guardian. . Members from 1stYear upwards. Cost is € 20 per child; € 30 per family. Looking forward to welcoming new and returning club members.

Balor Rep and Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival:
“Balor Rep” and “Donegal Bay and Blue Stacks Festival” present “Remembrance” a play by Jonathan Burgess, in Glenties Community Centre on Friday 26th September. Shows starts at 8.30 p.m.

‘Slim R Us’ with Karen Mc Glinchey:
‘Slim R Us’ with Karen Mc Glinchey meets in the Highlands Hotel every Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. Cost is € 5; no joining fee; no penalty fees for missed weeks. Contact: Karen ‘ 086 347 0798.
