Glenties Notes 29th May 2014

Scrap Saturday:
Naomh Conaill are having a Scrap Metal Collection from Thursday 29th Saturday 31st May, behind the dressing room at the GAA Ground, if anyone has any unwanted scrap metal please leave it behind the dressing room on the dates above, or you may contact the club to make a collection. First Holy Communion:
Congratulations to the boys and girls who received their First Holy Communion in Edeninfagh on Sunday 11th May and in Glenties on Saturday 24th May 2014.

Bingo:
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties on Tuesday 20th May 2014 were – €20 Winners – Breidin Boyle, Rose McGroarty and Breid Gallagher; €25 Winners – Grace O’Hara and Patricia White, Killybegs; €50 Winners – Bridie Boyle, Ann Moy, Helen McDyer, Mary Gallagher, Anne Boyle, Maureen Gildea, Patsy Martin, Winnie Long, Rose Boyle, Breege Roarty, Sandra Moore, Grace O’ Hara Killybegs, Mary McDermott, Fiona Boyle, Patricia Molloy; €100 Winners – Paul McKeown Fintown, Bridie Doherty, Catriona Gallagher, Brenda Byrne, Grace O’ Hara, Mary Gallagher, Anne Kennedy and Winnie Long; €300 – Anne Furey.

10th Anniversary:
Garrett O’Donnell Pharmacy 10 Year Anniversary Thursday 5th Friday 6th and Saturday 7th June. Everyone in the parish is invited to join in the Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 7th June, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the Pharmacy with Refreshments served.

Riverside Vintage Club Annual Run:
This event takes place on Saturday 31st May – leaving Bord Na Mona at 2.00 p.m. through Glenties, Gortnasillagh, Gweebarra Bridge, Corr Point and returning via Cleengort. All vintage vehicles welcome. Contact Anthony 087 7914428 or Michael 087 1300834.

Mass in Rossnowlagh:
A bus will leave Mc Guinness’ Café at 6.00 p.m. on Tuesday 3rd June and every first Tuesday for Mass in Rossnowlagh. The organisers wish to make an appeal for more people to join them.

Aloe Vera Information Evening:
An Aloe Vera Information Evening will be held in Mary Campbell’s House in Kingarrow, Fintown on Thursday 5th June. Everyone is welcome.

Mission Appeal:
Mission Appeal by The Comboni Missionaries will take place at12 Mid –Day Mass in Edeninfagh next weekend ~ Sunday1st June.
