First Holy Communion
Congratulations to the boys and girls from St. Riaghan’s, Drimnacrosh, Kilkenny N.S. and Scoil Mhuire, who received their First Holy Communion on Saturday last.

Bingo
Winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties on Tuesday 24th April were – Rosaleen Melly won € 300; Cathy Connell, Nancy Dorrian, Terence Breslin, Rosemary Whelan, May Kennedy, Ann Marie Cunningham, Sally Mc Callaig, Sally Mc Hugh and Michael Doherty won € 100 each; Emer O’ Donnell won € 60; Donal Brennan, Breege Roarty, Anne Moy, Hannah Sweeney, Fidelma Burke, Marian Ward, Maggie O’ Donnell, Mary Mc Dermott, Catherine Ferry and Sarah Mc Glynn won € 50 each; Anthony Burke, and Eileen Gallagher won € 25 each.

Class of ’75 Reunion
The Comprehensive School Class of 1975 Reunion is confirmed for Friday 3rd August 2012. Full details will be available on www.ardara.ie and www.glenties.ie

Community Employment Scheme

Important Public Meeting
There will be a Public meeting on Friday 4th May in the Community Centre, Glenties starting at 8 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is, to get the views of the Community on changing the date of the Harvest Fair Day from the 12th September to the 2nd Saturday in September, thus having the Fair on a weekend every year, enabling people who are away from home to come home for the fair.

The Late Annie Maguire
Fr. Shane Gallagher celebrated Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning 25th April 2012 for Annie Maguire (wife of the late Packie Maguire, Glen Road, Glenties) and their son, Patrick Hugh, who predeceased her. Annie died on 10th November 2011 and her Ashes and her son’s were brought home for burial with her husband. Family members did the Readings and Prayers of the Faithful. She is survived by one daughter Ann, sons, Barney, Kevin, Danny and Eugene, grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, to whom sincere sympathy is extended. Burial took place in the New Graveyard. Another son, Jimmy, also predeceased her.

Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to Helen Mc Dyre and family Letterilly, Glenties, on the death of Helen’s mother, Mary Boyle, Drimladrid, Lettermacaward, which took place in Letterkenny Hospital on Monday 2nd April; also to all the relatives and friends.

Collections
The Donegal Branch of the Diabetes Federation wishes to thank everyone who contributed to their recent Church Gate Collection. The amount raised was € 670. Your support is greatly appreciated.

The Multiple Sclerosis Church Gate Collection held recently amounted to € 685. A very sincere thank you to all who contributed so generously.

The recent Irish Kidney Association Church Gate Collection amounted to € 800. Thank you to everyone who made a contribution.
