Glenties Notes 5th December 2013

Sympathy:
Sincere sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Madge Gallagher, Station Road, Glenties, who died on Monday 25th November 2013.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Christine Boyle, Highlands Hotel and Anne Marie O’ Donnell, Stranaglough, Glenties on the death on Monday 25th November 2013 of their father, also to all other relatives and friends.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Mary Melly, Main St. Glenties on the death on Wednesday 27th November 2013 of her husband, John Joe; also to all other relatives and friends.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Mary O’Donnell, Gortnasillagh, Glenties, on the death, which took place in England, on Thursday 28th November 2013 of her sister, Annie O’Donnell (formerly Mc Glynn, Ard Patrick, Glenties); also to Annie’s family, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Danny Mc Gill, Glen Road, Glenties on the death of his brother, Denis Mc Gill, Common, Ardara, who was buried in Ardara on Friday last.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Nora Lassus, Tullyard Road, Glenties on the death of her uncle, Peter Mc Dougall in Scotland; also to all other relatives and friends.

S.V.P. Annual Christmas Church Gate Collection:
The S.V.P. Annual Church Gate Collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend, 7th and 8th December; please support this worthy cause.

Bingo:
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties on Tuesday 26th November were – €20 winners – Kathleen Boyle, Anthony Burke and Maureen Gildea; €50 Winners – Sandra Moore, Rose McGroarty, Bridie Boyle, Margaret Doherty, Annie Boyle, Sadie Sweeney, Anne Byrne, Neilie Bonner, Mary Gazley, Willie McHugh, Pauline McGeehan and Margaret Murray; €60 Winner – Anne Quinn; €100 Winners – Marion Doherty, Edel Dunleavy, Mary Ellen Green, Gracie Hart and Teresa McBrearty; €300 Winner – Bridie Doherty.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo in the Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday night at 9pm. Every line is €50, every house is €100. Jackpot if not won, will be €9300 on the 10/12/2013, if not won on the night €300 will be paid out. In house draws

Bingo will be on Christmas Day at 7pm this year instead of Christmas Eve.

Bowls in the Centre every Monday night at 8pm.

Helen O’Grady Academy Drama classes for children is on every Thursday evening from 5pm. Snooker room is open from 4pm – 10pm every evening. Bookings for the Community Centre contact 0872679321.
