Glenties Notes on April 14th 2005

Sincere sympathy is extended to Owen Mc Geehan, Meenmore, Fintown and to all the relatives and friends of Willie Campbell, Glenleighan, Fintown, who died last week.

Following a meeting last Wednesday evening it has been decided that the 11.00a.m. Mass in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties, on Sunday 8th May will be celebrated as the Inaugural Children’s Mass, for which the Children of the Parish will prepare the Liturgy.

A Day of Prayer and Healing with Eddie Stones and Fr. Noel Burke will be held in Clonfert on Saturday 30th April. A bus will leave Stranorlar Chapel car park at 6.00a.m., Donegal Town at 6.30a.m. and Ballyshannon at 6.50a.m. The cost for the day is €27 and this includes an evening meal. The annual Book Fair is taking place in Scoil Mhuire this week from Tuesday 12th until Friday 15th April from 3 – 5 p.m. Everyone welcome.

The University of Ulster Choir – ‘The Dalriada Singers’ featuring conductor Sean Ryan will perform in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Friday 22nd April at 8.30p.m. Admission is free. There will be a collection in aid of Donegal Hospice.

Charles J. Shovlin, The Castle, Kilraine, Glenties will be giving a Grounding Workshop from 10.00a.m. until 4.30p.m. in Jackson’s Hotel, Ballybofey on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April. The price for one day is €50 or €80 for two days. Tel 074 9551596. The seven set practice is beneficial to all holistic practitioners.
