Glenties Notes on October 28th 2004

The death took place in Letterkenny Hospital on Sunday 17th October 2004 of Hannah Keeney, Straoughter, Glenties. Her remains were brought to her home later that day and to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Tuesday morning. Fr. Nigel Ó Gallachóir C.C. Glenties celebrated Requiem Mass. Readings were by Frances Cassidy, niece of the deceased. Burial took place in Kilraine Graveyard. Hannah is survived by two sisters, Bridget, Straoughter and Annie, England, two brothers James and Patrick, England, nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends to whom sincere sympathy is extended. She was predeceased by sisters Maggie and Mary Ellen and brothers Francie and John.

The death took place in Letterkenny Hospital on Friday 22nd October 2004 of Jimmy Toland, Ard Mc Gill, Glenties. His remains were brought to his home that evening and to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Sunday morning. Fr. Paul Gallagher and Canon Leo Moore concelebrated Requiem Mass. Readings were by Jimmy’s brother-in-law Gene Moscoe. Burial took place in the New Graveyard. Jimmy is survived by his wife Sarah, Ard Mc Gill, sister Rose and her husband, Gene Moscoe, California, sister-in-law Sarah, Mayo, other relatives and friends, to whom sincere sympathy is extended. His sister Kathleen predeceased him.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Mary Phelan, Main St. Glenties on the death of her brother, Francie Mc Cormick, Glenfin, which took place last week; also to all the relatives and friends.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Mary Kennedy, Letterilly, Glenties on the death of her brother Charlie O’ Donnell, Dooey, Lettermacaward, which took place last week; also to all the relatives and friends.

Congratulations to Martina Campbell, Glen Road, Glenties and Michael O’Connell, Dublin who got engaged recently.

Congratulations to Lorraine Furey, daughter of Martin and Anne Furey, Ard Mc Gill, Glenties, who graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology with an Honours Bachelor of Business Studies with French Degree.
