THERE ARE STILL A FEW PLACES AVAILABLE ON THE PARISH BUS TO THE PAPAL MASS IN THE PHOENIX PARK. COST €10. CONTACT FR GERARD OR THE PAROCHIAL HOUSE.

The Raphoe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Saturday 18th August, led by Most Rev Bishop Alan McGuckian, SJ. Mass at 3pm Glenties Church Choir will lead the Liturgical Music in Knock Bascilica. A bus will leave from the Market Hall, Glenties at 8.30am travelling to Knock. Booking is essential. To book contact John McGeehan on 087 2544665.

Alzheimer’s Fundraiser Event @ The Glen Tavern on the 10th, 11th and 12th August. All donations will be made towards the Glenties Day Centre.
Saturday 11th August: Traditional Irish Music with Spot Prizes on the night.
Sunday 12th August: Motorbike Run @ 3pm with registration from 2pm
Followed by BBQ with music by the Cufflinks.

Anyone wishing to return an envelope following Fr Fahertys visit, please do so in the next week or so.

A Liturgy Group Meeting will take place to help organize the Family Mass for September on Thursday 16th August at 7.00pm in the Parochial House. All interested are welcome to attend.
This will be followed by a meeting at 8.00pm with parents to enroll their children in The Family Mass Choir for the coming year. This meeting will involve parents signing permission slips for their children’s participation for 2018/2019. All ages welcome from 6 to 18 years. Any musicians interested in joining will be most welcome. The first Family Mass in September will be on Saturday 8th September at 7.30pm.

Anne McDwyer and James O’Malley would like to thank everyone for the big response to their charity piano recital. Thanks also to the local businesses who sponsored spot prizes for the raffle. A total of €700 was raised for the Glenties Day Care Centre.

The Relic of St. Therese and her parents will arrive at the Carmelite Retreat Centre in Termonbacca, Derry on Tuesday the 14th of August at 7.00 pm and leaving on Wednesday the 15th of August at 8.30 am. All welcome.

Horticultural workers, Museum / Coffee shop workers, Maintenance workers, C.E criteria applies. C.E workers can avail of training to up skill while on CE scheme. To apply

Century Cinemas are delighted to be able to show “Pope Francis; A Man of His Word” from August 10th. This is a documentary produced, co-written and directed by Wim Wenders. Group bookings are available we also have a limited number of complimentary passes for those people who may be under financial constraints.
