It is hoped to have Masses in Glenties Old Graveyard and Kilraine Graveyard, weather permitting, on the following dates:

A sincere thank you to all who helped make the teas and refreshments after Graveyard Mass in Fintown a success. To McGeehan Tyres for sponsoring a fabulous hamper. A total of €1467.50 was raised. These much needed funds will be divided between SN Colmcille and Naionra Baile na Finne. Go raibh mile maith agat.

The Jim Rafferty Foundation presents “Kerry Stamp in concert ” with Shaun Ryan , piano, Friday 27th July at 7.30, Dolman Centre, Kilclooney. Admission €10. All proceeds in aid of the Jim Rafferty Foundation.

Fr Paul’s 2nd Anniversary Mass will take place in St. Fionan’s Church, Falcarragh on Saturday 4th August at 12noon.

Glenties Community Centre Amalgamated Ltd CE scheme have vacancies for Horticultural workers, Museum / Coffee shop workers, Maintenance workers, C.E criteria applies. Teddy Bears Picnic at Museum Saturday 21st July 2018 2 P.M.- 4 P.M. everyone welcome

Annual swim weeks will take place from Monday 30th July to Friday 3rd August and from Monday 6th August to Friday 10th August, in Narin/Portnoo. This is an excellent chance for introducing children to sea swimming and for older children to progress their skills in swimming and in water safety. The emphasis as always will be awareness of safety in all open water environments. Registration will take place at the beach in Narin at 9am on the first Monday of each week and a timetable for the week will be communicated to parents at that stage. All welcome.

The Irish Cancer Society needs an extra 20 drivers for our Volunteer Driver Service in Donegal (particularly the Glenties area) to drive cancer patients to and from their chemotherapy appointments in Letterkenny Hospital. We are looking for drivers who have a car available to them. Drivers should be able to commit to driving at least two full (week)days a month. All volunteer expenses are paid. If you would like to volunteer, call Laura on 01 2310 594, or email transport@irishcancer.ie.

Pen2paper writers group, established in 2011, with Peace 111 funding, cordially invites you to attend the launch of their anthology, “A New Day Dawns” on Sunday 22nd July at 2pm in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties. Introduction by author and historian, Lochlann McGill. All proceeds to the Donegal branches of R.N.L.I., Alzheimer’s Society and Irish Guide and Assistance Dogs.

St Vincent de Paul, Glenties area, will take up a church gate collection on Sat and Sun 21st and 22nd of July. Thank you for your support.
