LOOP SYSTEM: A “Loop System” has now been installed in the Main Church and the Day Church to assist the hard of hearing using hearing aid devices.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: There will be a meeting of parents of First Holy Communion Children on Tuesday 20th February at 8.15pm in Scoil Muire.

ST VINCENT de PAUL: Church gate collection on the weekend 3rd/4th March. Please give generously.

GLENTIES PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO MEDJUGORIE: 7 Nights, Departing from Dublin July 25th – August 1st. €659. Contact Johnny 087 3676955.

GLENTIES COMMUNITY PLAYGROUP LIMITED: Are holding their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 1st March at 8pm. Refreshments will be served. Everyone welcome.

ALZHEIMER SOCIETY: The Alzheimer Society of Donegal wish to thank you all for your generous response to our Church Collection last weekend. We collected €528.60.

ANAM CARA: A Bereavement Information Evening, with guest speaker Bríd Carroll, will take place in the Waterfront Hotel, Dungloe on Tuesday 6th March at 7pm.. The Information Evening will be open to all bereaved parents regardless of the circumstances of the death, the age of the child, or whether the death was recent or not. As with all Anam Cara services, it is completely free of charge.

Parent & Toddler Group: Held at the Centre every Tues (during school term) from 10:30 am – 12 noon, everyone welcome. Weight Watchers: Every Monday, first class 4:45 – 5:45 pm and second class 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Slimming World: Every Tuesday first class 5:00 – 6:30 pm, second class: 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Citizens Advice/Information: Is in the Centre every Monday at the new time of 2 – 4 pm

PIONEER LENTEN “NO THANKS” CAMPAIGN: The Raphoe Pioneer Council are again this year organizing our “No Thanks for Lent Campaign”. This is where a person makes a private pledge to abstain from alcohol during Lent and say a special prayer. A quantity of prayer cards will be available in the Church during Lent.

MENTAL FITNESS AND WELL-BEING: Would you like to learn how to face your feelings of anxiety and depression? Course starts Wednesday 7th March from 7.30pm – 9.30pm for four weeks in the Pastoral Centre in Letterkenny. Fee €90/€60 concession. Contact 074 9121853.

WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES 21st – 26th August 2018
PRAYER PETITION BOX: The Prayer Petition Box will be in the Parish from Monday 19th February to Sunday 25th February. Petition slips will be available for you to write your petition on and put it into the box. These petitions will then continue to Dublin and the intentions will be remembered during prayers at the World Meeting of Families.
RETREAT: Ards Retreat Centre are offering Days of Retreat for Parishes and for Families by way of preparation for the World Meeting of Families in Dublin. They will be from 11am and end with Mass at 5pm. To book contact Ards 07494 38909. Family Retreats will be on 15th April and 29th April. Parish Retreats will be 25th March, 22nd April, 6th May, 20th May, 27th May, 17th June and 4th June.

TICKETS AND VOLUNTEERING: If you wish to obtain tickets to the World Meeting of Families or to volunteer to help during the events, please go to the website www.worldmeeting2018.ie where details are available. There will be three days of events in the RDS, a Festival of Families in Croke Park and the Closing Mass in Phoenix Park. Register early to avoid disappointment.
