COST €10. PLEASE CONTACT FR GERARD OR THE PAROCHIAL HOUSE. Marino Institute of Education in Dublin have student accommodation available for any groups or individuals traveling to the World Meeting of Families. Easily accessible to Croke Park and city centre with regular bus services from outside the Institute. If you wish to book contact Lucia Kelly 087 9190728. For those who have a ticket to Knock for Pope Francis’ visit on 26th August, and would prefer to travel by bus, a bus will be run from Letterkenny, if there is sufficient interest. Pick-ups will be made in Stranorlar, Donegal Town (Lidl) and Ballyshannon bypass. Cost €20 per person. To book, call 0863074435. Co Donegal Parents and Friends of People with Intellectual Disability CLG will hold their annual Church Gate Collection on 11th/12th August. Visitation of the sick & elderly will take place this week as follows : – Tuesday 7th Ard Connell, Main Street, Tullyard Road, Dr McCloskey Crescent, Stranaglough, Meenalargan, Altar, Ard Patrick. Wednesday 8th Stonepark, Mill Road, Derries, Kilraine, Drimnacrosh, Tullyhoniver, Narin Road, Loughcrillan Road, Letterilly, Maas, Mulnamina, Gortnsillagh, Drimnasillagh, Buncrobog. The Raphoe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Saturday 18th August, led by Most Rev Bishop Alan McGuckian, SJ. Mass at 3pm. A bus will leave from the Market Hall, Glenties at 8.30am travelling to Knock. Booking is essential. To book contact John McGeehan on 087 2544665. Alzheimer’s Fundraiser Event @ The Glen Tavern on the 10th, 11th and 12th August. All donations will be made towards the Glenties Day Centre. Friday 10th August: Single Darts Competition @ 8pm Entry €10 Trophy and €50 for the Winner, €20 for the Runner Up. Saturday 11th August: Traditional Irish Music with Spot Prizes on the night. Sunday 12th August: Motorbike Run @ 3pm with registration from 2pm Followed by BBQ with music by the Cufflinks. “A Fund for Mickey Joe – The Long Road” Committee ceased fundraising on the 24th March, 2018 with the huge finale night in the Limelight, Glenties. A total amount of €148,824.05 was raised. This money will be spent renovating Mickey Joe’s home. The money will be paid to the contractor in five instalments which has been agreed by the Committee. An Architect has submitted the plans and will oversee the works. Finally, we would like to wish Mickey Joe all the best in the future and thank each and every one of you in showing your support for Mickey Joe. Glenties Community Centre Amalgamated Ltd CE scheme have vacancies for Horticultural workers, Museum / Coffee shop workers, Maintenance workers, C.E criteria applies. The Annual Collection for Northwest Simon taken up last weekend amounted to €480.00. Sincere thanks to all who contributed so generously. Last week’s OFFERTORY COLLECTION amounted to € 1,995.00.
