**PLEASE NOTE – DUE TO PRACTICES TAKING PLACE FOR THE CELEBRATION OF THE FIRST HOLY COMMUNION MASS, ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL 1.00PM ON THURSDAY OF THIS WEEK (MAY 10th).**

A “Loop System” has now been installed in the Main Church and the Day Church to assist the hard of hearing using hearing aid devices.

ADORATION FOR LIFE: A 24hour time of Adoration will take place from 10am Friday 18th May until 10am Saturday 19th May. A rota sheet will be placed in the porch area for all those wishing to join in this prayer of petition for life. It is hoped that a minimum of two people might join in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for each hour.

The Church car park will remain open on Tuesday evenings ONLY from May 8th onwards to facilitate parking of vehicles during Bingo. We would kindly ask that all vehicles would be promptly moved after bingo is finished in order that the carpark may be closed.

The Charlie Mór and Paddy Ward Charity Tractor Run is taking place on Sunday 20th May at 3.30pm, starting at Cloghan Day Centre. All tractors welcome. Proceeds to Cloghan and Fintown Day Care Centres.

The people of Donegal are invited to join with 7 Churches across Ireland in a “Day of Reparation for the Unborn” on Sunday, 13th May 2018 in St. Patrick’s Church, Donegal Town from 3pm – 6pm.

Margaret Connell, THE FOOT CARE PRACTITIONER, will be in the Day Centre on Monday 14th May. To book an appointment call 087 1417180.

Visitation of the sick & elderly will take place this week as follows : –
Tuesday 8th Main Street, Tullyard Road, Dr. Mc Closkey Crescent, Stranaglough, Meenalargan, Ard Patrick and Ard McGill.
Wednesday 9th Stonepark, Derries, Kilraine, Drimnacrosh, Mullantyboyle, Narin Road, Loughcrillan Road, Letterilly, Maas, Ard Connell, Glen Road.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: SATURDAY 12TH MAY AT 11AM
The Annual Party for the First Holy Communion Children, their families and guests, will be held in the Community Centre after Mass. Refreshments will be served for everyone attending. All donations would be greatly appreciated to help cover costs.

THE PARENTS ASSOCIATION OF SCOIL MHUIRE, Glenties would like to thank everyone for their support at the recent fundraiser “Say Yes to the Dress”. A total of €3335 was made on the night. Your support was very much appreciated by the committee.

The recent SVP collection for Uganda amounted to €806. Thank you for your generous contributions.

The annual collection for MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS taken up last weekend amounted to €150.39. Sincere thanks to all who contributed so generously.

ANAM CARA DONEGAL is holding a Parent Evening on Thursday 10th of May from 19:30 to 21:00 in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents.

World War 1 exhibits and events remembering WW1 in the Dolman Centre Kilclooney on Thursday 10th May to Friday 18th May from 9am to 4pm and 7pm to 10pm daily. (Closed weekends). Caroline Carr from Donegal museum will give a talk on Thursday 10th May at 8pm. There will be a concert on Friday 18th May at 8pm with music, poetry, drama and a guest speaker, Gerry Moore. If you have any items of memorabilia bring them along 2 hours prior to the concert for display.

Glenties Knitters are hosting a knitting group from Fatima Mansions, Inchicore in Dublin on Thursday 10th May in the Highlands Hotel from 11am to 1pm. Everyone welcome, admission is free. Come and browse the amazing work done by our Dublin visitors and ourselves!

LETTERKENNY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is holding an Open Evening for prospective students on Thursday 10th May from 3 – 7 pm at our Letterkenny & Killybegs campuses.

Darkness into light is happening Saturday the 12th of May 2018 at 4.15am. Registration is online only this year. There will be no registration and no t-shirts on the morning.
