Naomh Conaill hosted a very successful Health & Wellbeing event in the clubhouse on Wednesday 27th March 2019. The event was aimed at minor players from U14 upwards. It was great to have a crowd of about 70+ people made up of players, coaches and mentors listen, engage and participate in the presentations. We had three very experienced contributors make presentations on the night. Donna McGettigan from Donna McGettigan Nutrition, Denise O’Boyle from Orianna Health & Wellness in Killybegs and the County Health & Wellbeing Chairperson, Kevin Mills gave three very informative and engaging presentations around the areas of nutrition, mental health and alcohol, drugs and gambling. It is hoped that this will be the first of many health & wellbeing events that the club will host in the future. A big thanks to all the players, coaches and mentors who took the time out of their training schedule to attend. Thanks also to the club executive who helped to facilitate this important event.
