Naomh Conaill Club Notes 17th October 2013

All roads lead to Ballybofey this Sunday for what is a really big day for the club. Leo’s reserve team take on Gweedore in the championship reserve county final replay at 1.45pm. Good luck to Leo, his mentors and the team. This is followed by the senior final which Naomh Conaill clubman Ian Molloy is refereeing accompanied by his umpires Anthony Molloy, Brian Carr, Michael Regan(Naomh Conaill) and Lee Jordan(Four Masters). Good luck lads.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,4,17 and 25. Two prizes of €50 went to Kathleen Gallagher Sheskantinny Bridge and Jacinta Crossan Co Derry. Next weeks jackpot is €4,300.

Sunday was a great day for the club winning three out of three matches. First up were the U16’s who had a one point win over Aodh Ruadh. Naomh Conaill 2-07 3-03 Aodh Ruadh. The return leg will be played this Sunday in Ballyshannon at 12noon. This was followed by the reserves who had a comprehensive victory over Ardara. Naomh Conaill 0-16 1-03 Ardara. The seniors secured there place in Division One for next year when they put in a brilliant second half display to come out comprehensive winners over Ardara. Naomh Conaill 4-14 2-08 Ardara. This was the seniors last game of the year.

Hard luck to the U13’s who were beaten by St Nauls after extra time in the semi final on Monday night. St Nauls 4-12 4-08 Naomh Conaill.

James Gallagher is running a Last Man or Woman standing competition as part of his Lord Mayor campaign. The winner will receive a very impressive 40″ Samsung smart HD TV. Naomh Conaill Club Notes 7th October 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 22, 28 and 30. Two prizes of €50 went to Janice Mc Nelis Narin road and Mary Jo Bonner Dungloe. Next weeks jackpotis €4,200.

Well done to the U16 team who put in a brilliant performance against a very strong St Eunans side to claim the U16 Division 1 county league title. This was a very close game with Naomh Conaill holding on to win by the narrowest of margins. Naomh Conaill 0-13 1-09 St Eunans. They are back in championship action this Sunday when they take on Aodh Ruadh in the semi final 1st leg. This is a home game for Naomh Conaill at 12 noon.

Congratulations to Ian Molloy who has been appointed referee for the 2013 Donegal senior football final. Ian will be accompanied on the day by his umpires.

Naomh Coanill Club Notes 10th September 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 17, 26, 27 and 30. Two prizes of €50 went to James Molloy Mill road and Margaret Mc Geehan Derries. Next weeks jackpot is €3,800.

Well done to the U13 team who had a very comprehensive victory over Ardara on Friday night. Ardara 2-04 6-16 Naomh Conaill. They are home to Naomh Mhuire on Saturday at 12noon.

Well done to the U16 team who put in a great performance on Monday night to edge out Aodh Ruadh by the narrowest of margins. Naomh Conaill 2-8 2-7 Aodh Ruadh. They will now play the winners of Ardara / Dungloe in the league final.

The reserve game against Gweedore on Sunday was called off. The senior game went ahead but unfortunately we were beaten by a point. Gweedore 0-08 0-07 Naomh Conaill.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 19th August 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 3, 4,and 5. Two prizes of €50 went to Patrick Brennan Shallogans and Lorraine Gallagher Sandfield. Next weeks jackpot is €3,500.

In the U13 league Division one section 2 Naomh Conaill are away to Dungloe on Saturday 24th at 12 noon.

The U15 team were defeated in the semi final of the regional og sport. They had beaten Dungloe and St Nauls to reach the semi final where they were beaten by two points by Ardara.

Well done to the U16 ‘s who defeated Aodh Ruadh by two points in the league. Naomh Conaill 5-08 3-12 Aodh Ruadh. In the U16 championship Division one preliminary round 1st leg Naomh Conaill are away to Killybegs on Monday 26th August at 7pm.

Well done to the reserve team who are through to the county semi final after they overcame St Eunans in the quarter final. Naomh Conaill 1-08 0-09 St Eunans. They now play Four Masters in the semi final this Sunday evening at 6pm in MacCumhaill park. Good luck to everyone involved.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 12th August 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 11,23, 29 and 30. Two prizes of €50 went to Helen Flannery Naomh Conaill Clos and Karolina Byrne Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €3,400.

Congratulations to Ethan O’Donnell who was a member of the Donegal U16 team that won the Buncrana cup on Saturday beating Tyrone 3-06 to 0-03. Ethan scored 1-01 in the final – Well done Ethan.

In the U16 league game played on Monday night Naomh Conaill won by the narrowest of margins. Naomh Columba 0-06 1-04 Naomh Conaill. Next Monday they are home to Aodh Ruadh at 7.30pm.

In the reserve championship quarter final between Naomh Conaill and St Eunans it finished all square. Naomh Conaill 2-06 1-09 St Eunans.

The seniors secured two valuable points in the league on Sunday when they overcame Ardara 0-09 to 2-06.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the 5k on Friday evening. It was a great success. A big thank you to all those who helped out, especially the tea ladies and those who helped out with the stewarding, registration and baking. Thank you to the Highlands Hotel and Kennedys bar & restaurant for their sponsored prizes, Dohertys Tool hire for the free bouncy castle (Arlene who supervised) and the local Garda Siochana for their support of this event.
As part of his Lord Mayor campaign Brian Boyle is running a GAA summer camp in Davy Brennan memorial park from Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd August from 10am to 2pm. Many county players will be coaching. Cost is €20 per child with every child receiving a free water bottle. The camp is opened for children aged 6 to 15 years.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 17th July 2013

Congratulations to our U14 team and their manager who were crowned U14 County champions last Wednesday after they defeated St Eunans in the final. Naomh Conaill 5-08 2-13 St Eunans. This was the first team in the clubs history to capture the U14 title so well done to everyone involved.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,9,24 and 25. Two prizes of €50 went to Ann Craig Ard Patrick and Mary Gavigan Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €3,000.

Well done to our U12 team who had another great victory over Aodh Ruadh on Monday night to stay top of the league.

The U16’s are home to Ardara on Monday 22nd July at 7.30pm.

Tickets for the Ulster final will be given out in the clubhouse on Thursday evening between 7 and 8pm. It is very important that all tickets ordered be collected on the night.

The club would like to wish the Donegal team especially the Naomh Conaill lads Jim, Anthony, Leo, Marty, Dermot, Joe and Charlie the best of luck in the Ulster final this Sunday in Clones when they take on Monaghan.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 11th July 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 6,13,14 and 21. Two prizes of €50 went to James Griffin Derries and Odhrán Furey The Glen. Next weeks jackpot is €2,900.

The U12’s are home to Aodh Ruadh on Monday 15th July at 6.30pm.

The U16’s had a good victory over Dungloe last week. Dungloe 2-05 2-11 Naomh Conaill. On Friday 12th they are home to Naomh Mhuire at 7.30pm.

The minors were beaten in the championship last week by Naomh Mhuire. Naomh Conaill 0-05 1-11 Naomh Mhuire.

Both the seniors and reserves were beaten by St Michaels on Saturday evening. In the reserve game it finished St Michaels 0-07 0-05 Naomh Conaill while in the senior game it finished St Michaels 5-10 1-10 Naomh Conaill.

The thirds game against Mac Cumhaills on Sunday finished all square Mac Cumhaills 1-07 1-07 Naomh Conaill.

The Naomh Conaill senior ladies played Kilcar in the championship on Sunday and recorded a good victory. Naomh Conaill 3-09 1-05 Kilcar

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 27th June 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 3,7,21 and 23. Two prizes of €50 went to Cathie Connell Lough Fad and John O’Malley Station Road. Next weeks jackpot is €2,700.

The U12’s had a comprehensive victory over St Nauls on Monday night. Next Monday 1st July they are home to Ardara at 6.30pm.

This weekend Derry is hosting Feile Peile na nÓg and we are hosting the U14 boys from O’Donovan Rossa – Belfast and the U14 girls from Kilkenny city . The club would like to wish both teams a pleasant stay and good luck to both teams and our own U14 boys and girls team who are also taking part in feile.

The U16’s had a good victory over Killybegs winning 3-13 to 1-04. This Friday 28th June they are home to Aodh Ruadh at 7.30pm.

The Thirds had a good win over St Eunans at home last Friday. Naomh Conaill 1-11 0-05 St Eunans.

Both the seniors and reserves are back in championship action this weekend when they both take on St Eunans in O’Donnell park.

Congratulation to the Donegal senior football team who are through to the Ulster football final. Well done to Ian Molloy who was linesman at the Ulster minor semi final.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 16th April 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 10,18,21 and 28.Two prizes of €50 each went to Richie Quigley Stonepark and Hugh Boyle Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €6,200.

The club is currently running a draw. 1st prize 2 All Ireland Football tickets, overnight accomadation in The Hartcourt hotel and €500 spending money. 2nd prizes 2 tickets for the Donegal v Tyrone game. Tickets are €3 each or 2 for €5. Tickets are available from club members. Please support.

The U-14’s showed another great display of football last Tuesday when they overcame Naomh Mhuire 4-13 to 1-05. They continued there good form on Monday when they overcame Four Masters 0-10 to 7-11. Next Monday 22nd April sees the start of the U14 Championship Division 1 Group A. Naomh Conaill are away to Bundoran at 7.30pm

The minors had a great victory over St Johns at home on Friday night. Naomh Conaill 2-12 1-08 St Johns. On Monday night they continued there winning ways with a victory over Naomh Brid/Pettigo 4-10 to 3-05. Next Monday 22nd April they are away to Aodh Ruadh(Ballyshannon) at 7pm.

The reserves and seniors made the long trip to Malin last Sunday. The reserves had a comfortable win Malin 0-05 2-11 Naomh Conaill. The seniors were unlucky with Malin scoring a late goal to win by the narrowest of margins Malin 2-04 0-09 Naomh Conaill. This Friday 19th the seniors are home to Gweedore at 7pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 3rd April 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1, 14, 21 & 22. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Nan Doherty, Dungloe and Caoimhe Mc Callig, Lacklea. This weeks jackpot is 6,000 Euro.

The winners of the 200 club March draw were 1st prize of 500 Euro were Shaun Mc Monagle, Fintown and 5 prizes of 100 Euro went to Thomas Mc Dyre, Derries, Michael Boyle, Ard Mc Gill, Maggie O’Donnell, Meenahalla, Dim Melly, Leitir and Annmarie Brennan, Ardara.

The senior team had mixed fortunes last weekend losing at home to Four Masters on Good Friday by 4 points but they recorded their first victory of the year against Killybegs by 1-6 to 0-6 in Glenties.

The reserves had only one game and new manager Leo Mc Loone (senior) got of to a winning start beating Killybegs 1-7 to 0-6. They are at home to Four Masters this Saturday evening at 6.45pm.

The U14s beat Aodh Ruadh 4-14 to 3-3 in Ballyshannon last Monday. They are at home to Naomh Mhuire next Monday at 7pm.
