Naomh Conaill Club Notes 5th April 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4,7,8&27. Two prizes of €50 went to Henry Gillespie Mill Road and Eileen Gallagher Main Street Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €2,200.

The 6th draw in the 200 club took place at the Community centre bingo on Tuesday 27th March 1st prize €500 Annette & Nora Mc Swiggan Glenties. 5 prizes of €100 each Poggy O’Donnell Mill Road, Pauline Gallagher Mullantyboyle, Daragh Gallagher Ard Patrick, Patricia Molloy Mill Road and Gerry O’Donnell Meenahalla.

The Regional U-14 Feile final took place in Glenties last Saturday. In the semi final Naomh Conaill defeated St Nauls. The final between Naomh Conaill and Aodh Ruadh was a tense exciting encounter that ended with a one point winning margin for the Aodh Ruadh lads 3-3 to 3-2.

The U-16’s were beaten last Tuesday by Killybegs. Naomh Conaill 0-12 3-10 Killybegs. This Monday 9th April they are away to Ardara @ 7pm.

The reserves and seniors both got the league underway last Sunday when they were away to St Michaels. The Reserves were beaten 0-14 to 1-08. The Seniors drew 0-15 1-12. This weekend they are due to play St Eunans in Letterkenny. Check clubs website for details of date & time.

The U14 girls played their 1st league game on Wednesday 28th March against Naomh Columba and they got their year off to a winning start. Naomh Conaill 6-16 1-03 Naomh Columba.

There will be a club meeting in the Clubhouse on Friday 6th April @ 8pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 20th March 2012

The lotto numbers for last week were 4,8,17 & 26. Congratulations to Shauna Molloy Kilraine Glenties who matched all four numbers to win the jackpot €3,800. Next weeks jackpot is €2,000.

Membership for 2012 is now due. Adult membership is €30 and €10 for youth. There is also €100 membership which includes membership and entry into the weekly lotto. Only paid up members can use the gym. There will be a registration night in Aras Sheain Bhain in Fintown on Friday 23rd March between 8.30 & 9pm.The closing date for membership is Saturday 31st March.

The club is holding a Scrap Saturday on March 31st so start gathering all your old scrap eg wheel barrows, old boilers, ranges, gates, gas heaters. A full list of items for recycling can be got on the clubs website or for more details contact Peter 087 6483685.

The club is currently selling Club Donegal cards. These cards give you free admission to all club matches (league, championship & underage) in the county. The club is selling them @ the special price of €120. Anyone interested in purchasing one can contact Seamus 087 4106737 or Brian 087 9354012.

The U-14’s will take part in the Feile na Og Peil Regional blitz on Saturday 24th March. Dungloe is the host club to Naomh Conaill and Ardara. Our 1st game is @ 11.35am against Ardara and then 12.25pm against Dungloe.

The U-16’s were defeated by Aodh Ruadh on Sunday. Aodh Ruadh 4-08 1-07 Naomh Conaill. This Sunday 25th March they are home to Naomh Mhuire at 12 noon.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 3,7,17 & 26. Two prizes of €50 went to Jamie Cranley, Derries, Glenties and Marie Rothwell, Main Street, Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €3,800.

Membership is now due for 2012. Adult membership is €30 and €10 for youth. There is also €100 membership which includes membership and entry into the weekly lotto. Membership forms are available from the Iniskeel Co-Op and the club’s website. The closing date for membership is Saturday 31st March.

This Sunday March 18th they are away to Aodh Ruadh @ 12 noon.

The Naomh Conaill ladies played there first game on Sunday 11th and lost out to Milford. The Ladies have Together for Carers St Patricks day ribbons on sale in the local shops and will be selling them on the street this Thursday and Friday. The ribbons are €2 each. The Ladies football Association are delighted to be partnered with the Carers Association for this great and worthy cause so all support would be greatly appreciated. The ladies board are gathering the Tesco schools and clubs vouchers. Anyone who has any vouchers and would like to help the club can give their vouchers to any of the Ladies committee or leave them in the Craft Gallery with Rosaleen.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,9,10,15. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Bernie Bonner, Cloghan and Lorna Doherty, Dungloe. This weeks jackpot is 8,300 Euro.

Tickets for the club draw are now on sale at 5 Euro each or 3 tickets for 10 Euro. The 1st prize is 1,000 Euro,2nd prize 42 inch Flat Screen TV, 3rd prize Laptop Computer, 4th prize Digital Camera, 5th prize 100 Euro.

The U13s got off to a good start with a decisive win against Killybegs in there first game and last Friday evening they defeated Aodh Ruadh 3-11 to 3-4 in Ballyshannon. They are away to Ardara this Wednesday 14th Sept at 6.30pm and they are at home to Bundoran this Saturday morning at 11am.

Commiserations to both our U14s and U16s who lost co finals last week. The U14s were beat by St Eunans last Wednesday evening in Ballybofey and the U16s lost out to Gweedore in Glenswilly last Saturday afternoon.

Good luck to the senior team who take part in the anual Kilmacud Crokes All Ireland Sevens Tournament this Saturday.

Naomh Conaill Notes 18th August 2011

There was no winner of last weeks club lotto. The numbers drawn were 4,9,19,21.Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Gerry Doherty, Tullyard Road and Emer Doherty, Kilcar. This weeks jackpot is 7,900 Euro.

The ladies drew with Cloughaneely 1-6 each in the Junior final in Ballybofey last Sunday. The replay is due to take place this weekend.

The reserves made a disappointing exit from the championship losing to St Eunans in Glenswilly last Sunday evening.

The U16s had a good victory against Naomh Colmcille in the co semi final last Monday evening in Killygordan. No date has being fixed for the final yet.

The U14s beat Ardara 4-9 to 2-7 in the Regional semi final last Friday in Fintra. They were due to play Aodh Ruadh in the final on Wednesday 17th Aug.

The club are holding a summer camp running from Tues 23rd August to Friday 26th August. The cost will be 20 Euro per child and 10 Euro for additional child. Registration forms will be available the morning of the camp.

There will be a Table Quiz in aid of the Donegal team training fund in Keeneys Bar this Friday night starting at 9pm. The winning team will go on to All County Quiz Final in the Abbey Hotel on Thursday 25th August.Please support.

Naomh Conaill Notes 15th June 2011

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,2,11,15. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Stephen McGrath, Glenties and Packie Mc Gettigan, Doochary. The jackpot now stands at 7,000 Euro.

The club presents Take Me Out this Friday night in the Highlands Hotel starting at 8pm. Tickets are 10 Euro are on sale from all the players and Mc Glincheys.

The senior and reserve teams were both beat last Saturday evening against Four Masters in Donegal Town.

Well done  to Jim, Anthony, Marty, Dermott, Leo and the Donegal team on their victory over Cavan last Sunday. Anyone looking for tickets for the Ulster semi final against Tyrone should give their name to any club officer before lunchtime next Monday.
