Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 23rd February 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 4-15-28-30 and the 2x€50 went to Nan Doherty, Dungloe and Martin Furey, Ard Mc Gill Glenties. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,300.

Naomh Conaill membership for 2016 can be paid from now to 31st march 2016. Youth membership €20, Adult membership €40 or €100 includes €2 entry each week to lotto Membership forms can be got in the Inniskeel coop Glenties or from Murial Hegarty or contact any executive member.

Volunteers required the club are looking for two volunteers to help with the preparation of accounts for the club. The volunteers should be familiar with a computer but do not need to be an expert. They will help with the upkeep of the club accounts and the preparation of monthly reports for the executive. If you are interested in helping out, contact either Patrick Mc Guigan or Seamus O’Malley.

Naomh Conaill Gaa are asking all members for help for the Donegal Gaeltacht this May, If you are available to help out in any way as in stewarding, Kitchen, Lotto, Shop can you please contact any executive member asap.

Naomh Conaill Gaa Club is thinking of hosting 2 first aid courses depending on the numbers.     1-Day Sports First Aid Workshop the Sports First Aid course has been designed to:  Improve the quality of first aid available in the sport and exercise environment.  Increase awareness of the importance of sports first aid among leader’s coaches, teachers and all volunteers involved in sport and exercise.  Make sport safer for everyone.  Help to ensure that any injuries are dealt with appropriately when they first occur and until arrival of health care professional and the second course is Occupational Sports First Aid Courses The Donegal Sports Partnership offers a number of First Aid Courses with the main emphasis on sport throughout the County. These courses will be delivered by approved Health & Safety Authority Occupational First Aid Instructors in accordance with regulations on best practice. If any member/Manager is interested to contact any executive member.

Meeting for the Parents of the Confirmation Children:

Special Olympics Collection:
Special Olympics will hold their Annual Church Gate Collection next weekend, to fund support, and provide better opportunities, for people with learning disabilities, to train & compete in many different sports.

First Holy Communion:
Children from Edeninfagh N.S. will receive their First Holy Communion in the Church of the Holy Communion at 12 mid-day Mass on Sunday 26th May.

One Day Refreshers Occupational First Aid Course:
Naomh Conaill are organising a One Day Refreshers Occupational First Aid Course in The Clubhouse on Saturday 23rd February from 9.30 a.m.- 4.30 p.m. The cost is € 35. Anyone interested in doing this course is asked to contact Rosaleen Doherty 087 6235023 as soon as possible.

Fundraising Tea Party and Dance:
A Fundraising Tea Party and Dance will be held in Halla Cholmcille Fintown on Friday 8th March. Music is by the ever popular ‘Country Highways’. Proceeds are in aid of S.N. Cholmcille Fintown. Naomh Coanill Club Notes 7th February 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,7,26 and 27. Two prizes of €50 went to Mairead,Killybegs and Michael Gallagher Kilraine. Next weeks jackpot is €5,200.

Good luck to the U21 team who play Ballinderry(Co Derry) in the Ulster Club Championship quarter final this Sunday @ 2.15pm in Kickhams Creggan.

Congratulations to Paddy Campbell who has been appointed senior team manager.

Congratulations to Patrick Mc Guigan and Patsy Furey who were appointed as joint treasurers of the club.

There will be a one day refreshers occupational first Aid course in the clubhouse on Saturday 23rd February from 9.30am-4.30pm. The cost is €35. Anyone interested in doing this course is asked to contact Rosaleen Doherty on 087 6235023 ASAP.

Club membership for 2013 is now due. Membership is €40 for adult and €20 for youth(for families with a number of children its €20 each for the 1st two children and €10 for each additional child). There is also €100 membership which includes membership and entry into the weekly lotto for a year. Membership forms are available on the clubs website, from club registrar Muriel Hegarty, The Inniskeel Co-Op and The Glenties Post Office.

The Clubs 200+ draw is starting shortly. The cost is €10/month or €100 for the year. Anyone interested in joining can contact any club officer.

Las Vegas comes to Naomh Conaill on the 16th February. Tickets €20 which includes buffet dinner, live music, champagne reception, disco and complimentary money for casino. Prize for best dressed and highest earners on the night. The night will end with someone earning the chance to win €1000. So come along for what promises to be a great night.
