NLI Denis Tynan Exhibition

The National Library of Ireland will host a special event in honour of the late Glenties based photographer Denis Tynan to mark the availability of his photographic collection on the NLI’s website (http://catalogue.nli.ie/Collection/vtls000314725)

The event will take place on Tuesday 3rd December 2019 at 7pm in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties

This public event will include a guest lecture by Patrick Boner, local historian, entitled “Denis Tynan’s Photographs – Local history through one man’s lens” preceded with a brief introduction by Elizabeth Kirwan, NLI Assistant Keeper, on the Library’s strategic aim of innovating access to its photographic collection.

A temporary exhibition will display a selection of images from the Denis Tynan photographic collection.
