Glenties Notes 22nd February 2008
A Table Quiz in aid of St. Luke’s Hospital, Dublin will take place in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties at 8.00 p.m. on Wednesday 27th February and will take place every Wednesday until further notice. Four per team and entry fee is 5 Euro per person. Come along and have a good night’s fun and support this very worthy cause.
A Night of Céilí and Barn Dancing will be held by Club Céilí na Gleannta in The Community Centre, Glenties from 9.00 p.m. – 12.00 on Friday 29th February. Music is by The Gallagher Sisters and Art Mc Nally. Admission is 8 Euro. Supper will be served.
A Special Day Pilgrimage in Knock to honour St. Joseph will take place on Friday 14th March. The programme is as follows :- 1.45 p.m. – Assemble in Basilica. 2.00p.m. – Reflection on St. Joseph and Fatherhood will be delivered by Fr. John Harris O.P. 2.30 p.m. – Stations of the Cross. 3.00 p.m. Mass followed by Benediction and General Blessing. Confessions will be available from early morning through the day.
