Glenties Notes 6th December 2007
At the meeting in the Community Centre, Glenties on Friday 30th November 2007 an announcement was made by Minister ‘Pat The Cope’ Gallagher, that approval has been granted for a New Primary Health Centre in Glenties on the site of the Girls Old National School. He envisaged a design team being appointed in January 2008 and the work being started later in that year. He also stated that money has been allocated for the project.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Annie Behan and family, Ard Patrick, Glenties on the death in the U.S.A. of Annie’s brother, Barney Mc Teague, which took place last week.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Paddy Hanlon and Annie Barrett, Maas, Glenties on the death of their brother, Bob Hanlon, which took place in Scotland last week.
A bus will leave Glenties at 8 p.m. on Friday 7th December for a night vigil in Knock for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Contact Mc Guinness’ at 9551284 for further information.
A Christmas School Concert and Local Talent Show will be held in the New Gym on 20th December 2007. Anyone wishing to participate contact John Francis O’Donnell.
The Annual Christmas Church Gate Collection for Saint Vincent de Paul will be taken up at all Masses next weekend – 8th & 9th December.
A Table Quiz in aid of the Comprehensive School Pilgrimage to Medjugorje will be held in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties on Friday 7th December at 8.00p.m. Tables of four and 40 Euro per table. Come along for a good night’s fun and support this worthy cause
