Glenties Notes on 20th February 2006

The Raphoe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Fatima led by Bishop Philip Boyce takes place from 4th July for 7 nights. The flight departs from Derry Airport. Full board in Hotel Avenida costs E 719 + E 25 insurance. See notice board in Church for full details.

A five-week course on the challenges of PARENTING ALONE starts on Tuesday 21st February in the Comprehensive School from 7.30p.m. – 9.30p.m. The cost is 2 Euro per night. This is an excellent opportunity for parents to look at the issues involved in parenting alone, and a chance to support each other with expert help.

A five-week course exploring the joys and the challenges of parenting teenagers starts in the Comprehensive School on Tuesday 21st February from 7.30p.m. – 9.30p.m. The cost per night is 2 Euro. Topics like improving communication, laying down boundaries, problem solving, will be explored in a supportive manner. The 11.00a.m. Mass in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties next Sunday 26th February will be celebrated as the Family Mass.

Congratulations to Maria Mc Loone, Main St. Glenties and Stephen Mc Dermott, Glenfin who got engaged recently.

Congratulations to young footballers Darragh Gallagher and Eoin Wade who have been selected for the U/ 17 Ireland Compromise Rules Team going to Australia at Easter.
