For reasons of insurance and safety, and following an independent survey by professional foresters, it has become necessary to fell 24 of the trees at the back of the Church. These trees have reached the end of their life, and rot has set in on some of them. There is a danger that they could fall in a storm and damage the Church, or injure or kill someone. It is the legal responsibility of the owner (the Parish in this case) to act on the advice that we have received. The trees will be replaced by new trees.
