Glenties Notes on 9th April 2007
At the last Charlie Daly Fianna Fail Cumann A.G.M. held in Glenties on the 16th February 2007 the issue of the New Health Centre was raised. Councillor David Alcorn also raised the question at the HSE Board Meeting in
The proposal will be re-submitted again in 2007 as part of the annual review of the National Development Plan.
Next Sunday 15th April is Divine Mercy Sunday. A bus will depart Glenties at 8.30a.m for Knock for concelebrated Mass and Divine Mercy Devotions. Anyone interested in travelling to Knock should leave their name in Mc Guinness’ Café, or telephone 9551284.

Congratulations to Rosemary and Tim Dewhirst, Straboy, Glenties on the birth on Holy Thursday 5th April 2007 in Letterkenny Hospital of their second child, a little brother (Ethan John) for Fintan.
Playgroup / Afterschool are looking for small and medium sized bicycles and ride on toys, which are safe and are in good condition. If you have any bikes etc. that your children have outgrown, or are simply not used anymore, we would be delighted to have them. There will be a meeting of Glenties Parish Council this evening Thursday 12th April in the Community Centre at 9.00p.m. Everyone is welcome.
We invite all Confirmation Children, their Parents and Sponsors to the Service of Light in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Tuesday 17th April at 7.30 p.m. Confession will take place immediately after the Service.
