Alas! Finally there was suncream, iceream, even buckets and spades in evidence over the past week – maybe its summertime after all! As for the golf it was sunshine all the way for the winner – (perhaps heedful of the prompt last week?) having found his tempo, right there beside his mojo, Cathal set out steady with 18 points but then hit the accelerator on the back nine with an excellent 22 points for a total of 40 winning points. We will be hoping Cathal can bring this great run of form to Warrenpoint next Sunday!

Congratulations to Sean Hanrahan and his Ulster Cup team in defeating Warrenpoint 5 – 2 in the first leg of the last 16 but as they know only too well they will need to work hard in the “Point” to come way with an overall victory next Sunday – so we wish them all the best!
Our Pro-Am coverage will appear next week but in short it was a great sucess again this year, with a low score of seven under par from Mark O Sullivan (Ashbourne G.C.) over the two days capturing victory.
The presentation for this Saturday is cancelled due to a number of prize winners being on club duty
