Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 7th August 2014

There was No winner of this week’s club lotto, numbers out were 1-4-18-29. The €50×2 went to Stephanie Brennan, Main Street and Oonagh Mc Henry Ballycastle Co Antrim. Next week’s jackpot will be €8,400.

Congratulations to the Donegal minors on a great win over Roscommon to reach the All Ireland semi-final. A Special well done to our own club man Ethan. All the best in the semi-final.

Good luck to the Donegal Senior team who take on Armagh in the All Ireland Quarter final this Saturday. Good luck to all our club men involved (Jim, Leo, Antony, Brick, Leon, Joe, Charlie, Dr Charlie).

Naomh Conaill 5K: The annual Naomh Conaill 5k Run/Walk takes place on Wednesday 13th August @ 7pm starting from the Clubhouse. Come out and support your local Club by running/walking or take along the buggy. Registration is from 6pm. There is ample parking and full changing/shower facilities. Tea and refreshments will be served immediately after the run/walk. A bouncy castle will also be on site to keep the smaller children entertained (weather permitting) . Entry fee is €8 for Adults and €3 for under 16’s. All home-baking would be very appreciated on the evening. Contact 086-8656312.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 5,7,17,21. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Martin Bonner and John Bonner, Glen Road. The jackpot now stands at 5,500 Euro.

Good luck to the Glenties Comprehensive U14 team who play Virginia College in Ulster Final this Thursday at the Athletic Grounds Armagh at 1pm.

The Donegal Vocational School team drew with Cork in controversial circumstances in Swords last Saturday and the replay has being fixed for Pearse Stadium, Galway on St Patricks Day.

The AGM was cancelled last Sunday because of a beareavement and it will now be on this Sunday at 6pm in the clubhouse.

The Donegal GAA Banquet is on this Friday 4th March in Jacksons Hotel. The club will be presented with the club of the year award and 4 players from the club will be presented with their Ulster U21 medals. Tickets are 35 Euro and anyone interested can contact Muriel Hegarty.

The senior team will play in the Joe Larry Tournament in Ardara this Saturday night.

The ladies registration will take place this Friday night 4th March in the clubhouse from 8pm-9pm.All those intending to play or be involved with any team need to be registered. A parent/guardian needs to attend for underage players. New members are welcome. The fees are adult players 51 Euro, U18 players 36 Euro and U 10s 21 Euro, Non players 26 Euro(this applies to all managers, mentors, coaches, refs or anyone helping on the sideline).
