Naomh Conaill senior men had a fantastic weekend in the Comortas Peile Na Gaeltacht in Ardara which saw them start of on Saturday morning with a victory over An Gaeltacht (Kerry) and Saturday evening T. Mhic Eadaigh (Mayo). On Sunday evening in the semi-final they met in a mouth-watering local derby with hosts Ardara with Naomh Conaill winning by a single point at the end. They recorded impressive victories over Rostrevor (Down) and Clontarf (Dublin) and their finest display was a battling draw with a strong Dunshaughlin (Meath) side. Indeed, Naomh Conaill were the only team to take points off Dunshaughlin who topped the group. Naomh Conaill lost narrowly to the tournament’s eventual winners, Clan Na nGael of Roscommon.
