Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 15th March 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 6-16-17-25 and the 2x€50 went to Brid Furey, Ard Patrick and Ann Marie Cunningham, Glen Road Glenties. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,600.

Naomh Conaill membership for 2016 can be paid from now to 31st march 2016. Youth membership €20, Adult membership €40 or €100 includes €2 entry each week to lotto Membership forms can be got in the Inniskeel coop Glenties or from Murial Hegarty or contact any executive member.

Club Membership will be taking this Saturday 19th March between 7-8pm in Fintown.

Naomh Conaill Gaa are asking all members for help for the Donegal Gaeltacht this May, If you are available to help out in any way as in stewarding, Kitchen, Lotto, Shop can you please contact any executive member asap. There will be a meeting regarding the Gaeltacht in the clubhouse on Thursday 24th March at 8pm. Please attend.

Naomh Conaill will be collecting for Irish language at mass on St Patricks Day.

Well done to our U14 who started the league with a 1-11 to 1-6 victory away to Ardara. They are at home v Aodh Ruadh this Saturday at 12pm.

Naomh Conaill Minors had a successful start with a 7-16 to 0-7 win over Killybegs. They are at home v Ardara next Tuesday.

Our Seniors and Reserves start the league this weekend at home v Termon on Sunday and take note the two teams have agreed to play the games in reverse order Seniors at 1.30pm and reserves at 3pm.

Club Membership can be paid this Sunday from 12-1.30pm in the clubhouse before the senior game.

Anybody interested in playing football this year must have their membership paid before the 31st March.

Championship Draws were made this week Senior and reserve Termon, Gweedore and Four Masters in group D. Our U21s have Naomh Mhuire and senior C(3rd team) Ardara and Mac Cumhaills.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 31st October 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 11, 14, 15 and 18. Two prizes of €50 went to Kathleen Quinn 20 Ard Mc Gill and Margaret Flannery Ardun. Next weeks jackpot is €4,500.

Well done to the U16 team who overcame Aodh Ruadh in the play-off in Ardara on Friday night. Aodh Ruadh 3-05 2-12 Naomh Conaill. They now play the winners of Dungloe/Naomh Mhuire in Ardara on Friday night at 8.15pm.

Well done to the U21 who are through to the final after they were victorious over Mac Cumhaills. Naomh Conaill 2-14 1-08 Mac Cumhaills. They now await the winners of Kilcar v Four Masters. This is the U21’s playing in our 8th consecutive final.

Congratulations to Paddy Campbell who was ratified as Naomh Conaill senior manager for a second year.

The clubs AGM will take place on Friday 6th December at 7.30pm.

The Clubs Strictly Come Jiving will take place on Saturday 23rd November in the Highlands Hotel. Tickets are €15 and are for sale in The Highlands Hotel, The Inniskeel Co-0p, Maxwells Ballinamore or from any of the dancers taking part.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 17th September 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 11 and 13. Two prizes of €50 went to Mary Mc Mahon Fintown and Imelda Doherty Narin Road. Next weeks jackpot is €3,900.

The U13’s continued their winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Naomh Mhuire last Saturday. Naomh Conaill 11-08 2-09 Naomh Mhuire.

The U21’s are through to the county semi final after they defeated Convoy last Saturday. Naomh Conaill 3-15 2-07 Convoy. They now play the winners of Gweedore / Mac Cumhaills.

Good luck to the senior team who are taking part in the Kilmacuds 7’s this Saturday. They are drawn in group 3 along with Emmet Og (Longford), Caherlistrane (Galway) and Naomh Olaf (Dublin). Games will take place in Naomh Olaf with the first game at 11am.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 11th July 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 6,13,14 and 21. Two prizes of €50 went to James Griffin Derries and Odhrán Furey The Glen. Next weeks jackpot is €2,900.

The U12’s are home to Aodh Ruadh on Monday 15th July at 6.30pm.

The U16’s had a good victory over Dungloe last week. Dungloe 2-05 2-11 Naomh Conaill. On Friday 12th they are home to Naomh Mhuire at 7.30pm.

The minors were beaten in the championship last week by Naomh Mhuire. Naomh Conaill 0-05 1-11 Naomh Mhuire.

Both the seniors and reserves were beaten by St Michaels on Saturday evening. In the reserve game it finished St Michaels 0-07 0-05 Naomh Conaill while in the senior game it finished St Michaels 5-10 1-10 Naomh Conaill.

The thirds game against Mac Cumhaills on Sunday finished all square Mac Cumhaills 1-07 1-07 Naomh Conaill.

The Naomh Conaill senior ladies played Kilcar in the championship on Sunday and recorded a good victory. Naomh Conaill 3-09 1-05 Kilcar

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 13th June 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 8,15,22 and 29. Two prizes of €50 went to Anna Mc Dyer Main Street and Fiona Gallagher Station Road. Next weeks jackpot is €2,500.

The U12’s got their season off to a very good start with two very comprehensive victories over Bundoran on Friday night and Killybegs on Monday night. Next Monday 17th they are home to Dungloe at 6.30pm.

The U14’s play Kilcar in th Division 1 championship semi final in Naomh Ultan on Friday evening at 7.30pm.

The thirds got back to winning ways last Friday when they overcame Glenfin 2-08 to 0-06. This Saturday they are away to Mac Cumhaills at 7.30pm.

The reserves are through to the to the quarter final of the reserve championship after they overcame Malin 1-05 to 5-14. While in the senior game it finished all square at 1-08 to 0-11. This Sunday it is back to league action with both teams away to Four Masters. The reserve game is at 1.30pm followed by the senior game at 3pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 23rd August 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4,5,8 and 14. Two prizes of €50 went to Willie Ward Fintown and Patricia Molloy Kilraine. Next weeks jackpot is €2,800.

The club is holding a 5k Road Race and fun run/walk on Tuesday 28th August at 7pm. The starting point is at the Naomh Conaill clubhouse. Registration is from 6pm. Full changing/shower facilities are available. Tea/refreshments will be served after the race.Anyone wishing to take in some home baking it would be very much appreciated. There will be a bouncy castle at the pitch. Entry fee is Adult €7 under 16’s free. So come along for a great evening of fun.

Congratulations to Kevin Mc Gettigan who was a member of the Donegal U-16 team that recently won the Buncrana cup.

The U-10’s are away in Naomh Columba for the Go Games Blitz this Saturday 25th August at 12 noon. Naomh Columba will host Dungloe, Naomh Mhuire and ourselves Naomh Conaill.

The U-13 game against Aodh Ruadh last week was cancelled due to a bereavement in the Aodh Ruadh club.This Friday 24th August they are away to Bundoran at 6.30pm.

The U-15’s took part in the Og Sport Regional Round last Saturday where they won all their games – Naomh Conaill 3-07 0-04 St Nauls, Naomh Conaill 5-06 2-04 Killybegs and Naomh Conill 5-05 0-04 Four masters to make it through to the final where they met Dungloe. It took extra time to separate them as they finished all square 4-02 each but Naomh Conaill finished the stronger winning 5-10 to 4-11.

The minors are away to Naomh Mhuire this Wednesday 22nd August at 7.30pm in the quarter final second leg of the championship.

Well done to the third team who had a convincing victory over Naomh Ultan in the Junior B Championship. Naomh Ultan 1-04 2-14 Naomh Conaill.

Well done to the senior team who bet Mac Cumhaills 0-14 to 2-14 last Saturday to make it through to the final of the Patsy Brogan Memorial Tournament where they will play either Ardara or Killybegs.

The club would like to wish Anthony, Leo, Dermot, Marty, Jim, Joe and all the Donegal squad the best of luck for this weekends All Ireland semi final against Cork in Croke Park.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 6th June 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,10,12 & 14. Two prizes of €50 went to Emer Doherty, Kilcar and Nora O’Donnell, 112 Ard Patrick, Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €3,100.

The U-8’s Go Games are in Kilcar this Saturday 9th June at 12 noon. Kilcar are hosts to Ardara, Naomh Mhuire and ourselves Naomh Conaill.

The U-14’s had another fine victory last Wednesday when they defeated Dungloe 5-12 to 2-08. They are now through to the League Regional Semi Final which is due to be played next Wednesday 13th June. See club website for details.

A fundraising dance in aid of Naomh Conaill Ladies and Fintown Harps will take place in Halla Baile Na Finne, Fintown on Sunday 17th June at 9.00pm. Doors open at 8pm. Music by The Regulators. Admission €10. So get on your dancing shoes and come and support 2 worthy local clubs.

Naomh Conaill Notes 19th October 2011

Our U13s defeated neighbours Ardara 5-14 to 4-5 in the Southern Regional Final played at Fintra last Saturday morning. The contest was very evenly balanced up to half time with Ardara leading at the interval by one point 4-2 to 2-7 however N Conaill pulled away in the last quarter to finish the stronger. This was a great team performance coupled with some excellent individual displays. They now play Mac Cumhaills in the Co Semi Final.

The seniors moved to joint top of Div 1 after beating Four Masters 1-9 to 0-6 in Davy Brennan Memorial Park last Sunday. They have one league game remaining at home to Glenswilly.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,3,14,22. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Brenda Doherty, Meenahalla and Nan Doherty, Dungloe. This weeks jackpot is 8,800 Euro.

The club are hosting our 2nd Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday 12th November in the Highlands Hotel. The dancers are very busy practicing and it promises to be a great night. Tickets will be on sale soon.

Tickets for the club draw are now on sale at 5 Euro each or 3 tickets for 10 Euro. The 1st prize is 1,000 Euro,2nd prize 42 inch Flat Screen TV, 3rd prize Laptop Computer, 4th prize Digital Camera, 5th prize 100 Euro. The draw will take place on the night of Strictly Come Dancing.

Naomh Conaill Notes 19th October 2010

Well done to the seniors who produced a fantastic performance away to Kingscourt at O’Raghallaigh Park winning 1-12 to 0-11 last Sunday in the Ulster Club Senior Football Championship. Dispite trailing by 3pts early in the second half they produced a unforgettable second half of football and emerge winners by 4pts. A big thank you to our fantastic supportes who travelled in such large numbers and out numbered the home support 2 to 1. The next game in the Ulster Club is against Clontiblert (Monaghan) on Sunday 31st Otober in Letterkenny or Ballybofey.

Hard luck to the 3rds who were beat by 1 point against Mac Cumhaills in Donegal Town last Saturday evening in the Junior B semi final.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto.Two prizes of 50 Euro went to John E Gallagher and Owenie Mc Menamin. The jackpot now stands at 3,900 Euro.

Naomh Conaill Notes 12th October 2010

Good luck to the senior team who travel to O’Raghallaigh Park, Kingscourt (Cavan) on Sunday to play Kingscourt at 3:30pm in the preliminary round of the Ulster Club Championship .We hope the boys can go on and do the club and county proud. We are expecting a large crowd of supporters to travel to Cavan to cheer on the team and for supporters travelling to the game we would recommend them to travel via Omagh, Monaghan and Carrickmacross

Hard luck to the minors who were beat by 2pts by Cloughaneely in co semi final last Sunday in Letterkenny.

Good luck to 3rds who play Mac Cumhaills in the Junior B semi final this Saturday in Donegal Town 4:45pm.
