10th December 2017. This year St Connell’s Church Glenties are hosting the Annual Ecumenical Carol Service on 10th December at 6pm.

Glenties Christmas Market
Sunday 19th November in the Highlands Hotel Glenties from 11am – 6pm. With local Shops and Crafts. All your Christmas shopping under one roof.

The Annual Glenties Parish Social will take place on Sunday 3rd December in the Highlands Hotel beginning with Mass at 3pm. All our Senior Citizens are invited to attend. Please bring this notice to the attention of any senior citizens in your area. We are also appealing to the public for donations towards the running costs of this very important celebration.

VISITATION OF THE SICK & ELDERLY will take place this week as follows : –

Tuesday 7th Main Street, Tullyard Road, Dr. McCloskey Crescent, Stranaglough, Meenalargan, Ard Patrick, Ard McGill, Meenavale.

Wednesday 8th Stonepark, Derries, Kilraine, Drimnacrosh, Mullantyboyle, Narin Road, Loughcrillan Road, Letterilly, Maas, Ard Connell, Glen Road, Buncrubog and Lower Mully.

A Fund for Mickey Joe – The Long Road
On the 30th July 2017, Mickey Joe McMonagle, aged 23 years, sustained life changing injuries as a result of a road traffic accident close to his home in Fintown. (Details of his journey to recovery so far can be seen on the bulletin board.) In recognition of Mickey’s love for farming, the Fundraising Committee are organizing a Mart/Auction in Brockagh Mart to be held on Saturday 25th November at 2.00 p.m. If anyone would like to donate livestock for the sale or proceeds towards the fund, please contact one of the following committee members before 11th November. Bingo in Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday night at 9pm. Jackpot €8,900 on 45 numbers or less, if not won €300 will be paid out. €100 a house and €50 a line.
Snooker room opened from 4pm – 10pm.
Irish Dance Classes with Emily Bonner on Wednesday @ 3.30pm to 6.15pm.
Yoga, Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8pm.
Tai Chi, Wednesday from 8pm to 9.30pm.

Glenties Community Centre Amalgamated Ltd CE scheme have a vacancy for Horticultural workers, Maintenance workers, Caretaker, CE criteria applies. C.E. Workers can avail of training to up skill while on CE scheme. Contact 087 9695053 or email glentiescommunitycentre@yahoo.ie.

The Power of Positive Thinking for Women – Free Workshop in the Market Hall Community Centre Thursday 9th November from 7.30 – 9.30 pm. Tea/Coffee/Snacks served. No booking necessary. Contact 087 9031389.

Anam Cara, the organization that supports bereaved parents, is holding its next monthly Parent Evening on Thursday 9th November from 7.30pm to 9pm in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny. (Please note the change of venue). This event is open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether the death was recent or not.
