Glenties Notes 13th February 2008

A Night of Céilí and Barn Dancing will be held by Club Céilí na Gleannta in The Community Centre, Glenties on Friday 29th February. Music is by The Gallagher Sisters and Art Mc Nally. Admission is 8 Euro. Supper will be served.

Congratulations to Glenda Kane Mountcharles and Stephen Love Donegal Town who were married in Mountcharles on Saturday 2nd February 2008. Glenda is a granddaughter of the late Denis and Mary Mc Hugh, Ardconnell, Glenties and daughter of Ann and Michael Kane, Mountcharles. She has recently opened a Barber Shop in Glenties.

A meeting of the Glenties Parish Council will be held tonight Thursday 14th February in the Highlands Hotel at 9.00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Congratulations to Paula and John Roarty, Straboy, Glenties on the birth of their sixth child a little brother (Neil) for Shaun, Catlyn, Conor, Liam and Finbar.

Congratulations to Marie Bonner, Glen Road and Darren Melly, Main Street, Glenties who got engaged recently.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Liam Duffin and family, Station Road, Glenties on the death last week in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Stranorlar, of Liam’s sister, Maura Mc Elhinney, Ramelton.
