Glenties Notes 14th June 2008

The Classes of ’68 in St. Columba’s Comprehensive School are having their reunion on the first weekend in August. The Gala Dinner takes place on Saturday 2nd August. Please return your booking forms as tickets are limited. Contact numbers are – 086 3330000, 086 4010401 and 086 3671873.

The Mac Gill Summer School 2008 takes place from 13th – 19th July. Theme for the school this year is “The Life and Works of Brian Friel.

Opening hours for the Dolmen Centre have changed for the Summer and are as follows – Monday – Friday – 9.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. On Tuesday and Thursday it will also be open from 7.00 p.m. – 10.00 p.m.

An Auction will be held in the Dolmen Centre in August and they would appreciate any unwanted items, i.e. furniture, toys, electrical goods, bicycles, gym equipment, tools, paintings, etc. Items need to be in good condition and in working order. Unfortunately they cannot accept clothing.

Glenties Theatre Workshop will present the Children’s Musical “Make Believe” on Friday 20th June at 8.00 p.m. and on Sunday 22nd June at 3.30 p.m. Tickets are available in the following outlets – Iniskeel Co-op, Mc Glinchey’s Mace, Kee Butchers, and Cannon’s Service Station. Admission is 8 Euro for adults and 4 Euro for children. Proceeds are in aid of the School Gym. Please support.
