Congratulations to Margaret (nee Gill) and Brian Gildea, Narin Road, Glenties on the birth of their third child, a baby brother (Cian) for Conor and Daniel.

Congratulations to Amanda and Laurence Gallagher, Letterkenny on the birth recently of their second child, a little sister for Alisha. Laurence is a son of Eileen and the late Cormac Gallagher, Main St. Glenties.

Congratulations to Kieran Bonner, Straboy, Glenties and Marie Conroy from County Laois who got engaged recently.

Congratulations to Martin Gallagher who topped the poll at the Ogra Fainna Fail Conference in Tullamore, Co. Offally, when he was elected to the National Executive of Ogra Fianna Fail representing Connaught Ulster. Martin is a son of John and Eithne Gallagher, Church Road, Glenties. Congratulations also to Ian Molloy who will be representing Third Level on the College Panel. Ian is a son of John and Jackie Molloy, Mully, Glenties. Well done boys.

The Ionad Pobal agus Spoirt Naomh Mhuire Teo committee would like to thank everyone for their continued support. The Christmas Concert was very successful and everyone will agree that the performances were brilliant. There is massive talent in all our young people. We would like to say congratulations to all the winners in the Christmas Draw – Rose Mc Dyer, Ard Mc Gill, Glenties – 2,500 Euro. Bridget Kee, Mullantyboyle, Glenties – 1,000 Euro. Logan and Shana Quinn, Straboy, Glenties – 500 Euro. Liam Farren, Derry – 200 Euro. Christine Breslin, Kilraine, Bridie Boyle, Station Road and Helen Sully, Station Road, Glenties – 100 Euro each. The Gym is a great facility and we are glad to see it being used. Contact 087-6613365 to book the sports hall. It is hoped to have Mass and the Blessing of the Gym very shortly and parents will be notified.
