Thanks
Anna Baskin wishes to thank all those who supported the Cake Sale in aid of Glenties Parish Church on the 15th March in the Community Centre, Glenties. Thanks also to the helpers. The Sale was a great success and the raffle was won by Mary Mc Loone, Narin Road.

Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to Kitty Roarty and family, Stranaglough, Glenties on the death recently of Kitty’s brother, Gerry Mc Ginley, Inver.

Security: Glenties Community Alert
Applications for Socially Monitored Alarms, Security Lights, and Smoke Alarms etc. are being taken now. Pensioners wishing to avail of these very valuable items should make their application to any member of the Community Alert Committee or telephone Michael Glynn – 9551593, John Gormley – 9551258 or Nora Breslin – 9551192. Note – Special Offer on Monitoring Fees for new socially monitored alarms, applied for before the 31st May 2009.

Confirmations
Congratulations to the boys and girls who received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Philip Boyce on Sunday last in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties.

New Arrival
Congratulations to Anne and Kieran Kennedy, Stranaglough, Glenties on the birth last week in Letterkenny Hospital, of a baby girl, a little sister for Stacey, Keith and Cian.

Grand Draw
A Draw in aid of Letterkenny Hospital Cancer Unit will be held in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties on Sunday 31st May. Ticket sellers will be calling on you in coming weeks. Tidy Towns Clean Up 
"Clean up Day" is Saturday 4th April. Workers are asked to assemble at the Community Centre at 11.00a.m. All help will be very welcome as some of the roads are in a dreadful state.

Table Quiz
A Table Quiz will be held in the Community Centre on Friday 10th April at 8.00p.m. Tea and Coffee will be served. Please support.

Course
An Occupational First Aid & Defibrillator Course – Fetac Level 5 will be held on the 6th, 7th and 8th April in the Community Centre, Glenties. For further enquiries ring 087 9695053. There are a few vacancies.

Youth Choir
The Youth Choir will meet on Saturday 4th and Saturday 11th April at 5.30p.m. to prepare for Easter Sunday. All members are asked to attend.

Daffodil Day
€3,190 was collected on Daffodil Day in Glenties. Thanks to all who made the day such a big success.

Cake Sale
On Friday 3rd April a Cake Sale will be held in the Playschool from 12.30p.m. in aid of Animal Rescue Centre.

Pilgrimage to Medjugorje
There is a Pilgrimage going to Medjugorje on the 9th May for 7 nights. The cost is €669 fully inclusive. If you are interested you can contact either Noreen Feeney on 074-9541689 or Johnny Farren on 087-6613365.
