Glenties Notes on 2nd April 2007

The amount raised on Daffodil Day in this area amounted to E 3827.19c.  Thanks to all who helped to make it such a success ~ those who contributed, those who collected and those who brought in daffodils.

 

Holy Thursday – Mass of Chrism will be celebrated in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny at 11.00a.m.  All are welcome to attend.

St. Connell’s Church, Glenties – Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper – 7.30p.m.  Good Friday – The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion – 3.00p.m.  Holy Saturday – The Easter Vigil Mass – 9.00p.m.  The 11.00a.m. Mass on Easter Sunday 8th April will be celebrated as the Family Mass, for which the children of the Parish will prepare the Liturgy.

Please change small coins into E 2 or E 1coins or bank notes, and bring your Trócaire donation in the special Trócaire Envelope provided in your Sunday Envelope Box, dated for Holy Thursday.

 

A Cake Sale, Fun Hour and Coffee Morning will be held in the Community Centre, Glenties on Easter Sunday (after Mass) from 12 noon until 2.00p.m.  The admission is 3 Euro per child for bouncy castle and story telling and 3 Euro per person for coffee morning.  There will be lots of home baked goodies for sale in the Cake Sale.

 

Congratulations to Sandra and Derek Ward, Lucan on the birth recently of their second child, a baby brother, (Mark) for Daniel.
