Glenties Notes on February 3rd 2005

Congratulations to Martina Mc Dermott, Meenagrubby, Glenties and Patrick Hanlon, Dungloe who got engaged recently.

Many thanks to all the parents, relatives and neighbours who sponsored students from the Comprehensive School, Glenties who participated in the 2004 24 hour fast for Concern. A total of just under 4,000 Euro was raised. The fast was organised by the 2B CSPE class and teacher Gerry Moore.

Congratulations and best wishes for many more years among us to Anna Mc Dougall, Ardconnell, Glenties, who celebrated her 90th Birthday on Friday 28th January.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Danny Furey (formerly of Stralinchey, Glenties), who died recently in Scotland.
