Glenties Notes on November 22nd 2002

The marriage of Philomena Gallagher and Austin Brady, Naas, Co Kildare took place in St. Agatha’s Church, Clar, Donegal on Saturday 16th November 2002. Friend of the groom, Fr. Fernando, officiated and celebrated Nuptial Mass. Philomena is a daughter of the late Connie and Annie Gallagher, The Mines, Glenties. Her brother, Christy gave the bride away and her sister-in-law, Sinead Gallagher and nieces, Elaine and Aimee Gallagher attended her. Dermot Brady, son of the groom was bestman and the bride’s brother, P. J. was groomsman. Robin Alexander Brady was flowergirl and Andrew James Brady and Bradley Burke were pageboys. Readings were by Kieran Gallagher, nephew of the bride and Fiona Brady, daughter of the groom. Eileen Gallagher, sister-in-law of the bride and Murial Brady, sister of the groom, brought the Gifts to the Altar. The reception was held in Harvey’s Point Hotel, Donegal.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of the late Frankie Kennedy, Kilraine, Glenties, who died in the Mater Hospital Dublin on Thursday 14th November 2002.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of John Timoney, Meenatowey, Fintown, who died suddenly on Monday 18th November 2002, also to his aunt, Nora O’Donnell, Ard Patrick, Glenties and to all his relatives and friends.
