Glenties Notes on October 7th 2004
Sincere sympathy is extended to Jackie Molloy, Narin Road, Glenties on the recent death of her father Patrick Melly, Cullion, Lettermacaward; also to his brother Colm Melly, Main St. Glenties, to his wife, Nora, sister Mary Anne Breslin, and the other members of the family, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Margaret Rodger, Main St. Glenties on the death of her sister Nellie Willett which took place recently in California USA.
Sincere sympathy is extended to Tony Scott, Banganboy, Glenties on the death of his brother Jim Scott, which took place recently in England.
Congratulations to Mary and Patrick Kennedy, Main St. Glenties who celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last week.
Congratulations to Bernadette and Jimmy Mc Kelvey, Beaghmore, Fintown who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary last week.
Congratulations to Maureen and Daniel Kennedy, Letterilly, Glenties on the birth recently of their second child, a baby brother for John Hugh.
The death took place in London on Thursday 23rd September 2004 of Bernard Mc Loone, formerly of Mully, Glenties. His remains were brought to the home of his brother John in Mully on Friday 1st October and to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Saturday 2nd. His cousin Fr. John Gallagher P.P. Kilcar assisted by Fr. Paul Gallagher Glenties celebrated Requiem Mass. Readings were by Bernard’s brother John and his niece Mairead. His other niece Grainne read Prayers of the Faithful. Richard and Grainne Mc Loone nephew and niece of the deceased brought the Gifts to the Altar. Burial took place in the Old Graveyard with his parents James and Margaret. He is survived by his only brother John, Mully, nieces Mairead and Grainne and nephew Richard, cousins, other relatives and friends to whom sincere sympathy is extended.
