Naomh Conaill Notes 10th June 2009

Last Sunday was a marvellous day for our young U12 footballers who captured the U12 Southern championship in Fintra with a very convincing 5-17 to 2-3 victory over neighbours Ardara.This was a brilliant all round team performance and was a fitting tribute to the hard work, commitment and deadication shown by this group of players all season. They now play Carnadonagh in the Co quarter final which is due to be played this Friday 12th. Check Mc Glincheys for time and venue. The B team also give a fine display of football particularly in the second half to overcome Ardara on a scoreline of 4-6 to 0-0. The Reserves beat Kilcar at home in the league last Sunday 0-13 to 0-7 and they are at home to St Eunans this Saturday evening. The 3rd team were in action as well last Sunday and had a comprehensive victory at home to Naomh Padraig 4-12 to 0-6.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto.Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Aidan Mc Shea, The Rock Glenties and Annie Boyle,Station Road Glenties. The numbers drawn were 6,17,19,28. This weeks jackpot is 2,800 Euro.

The Naomh Conaill Senior team are having A Night at the Races in Kenneys Bar on Friday 19th June.

The Naomh Ladies would like to thank everyone who helped in anyway to make their Night at the Races a great sucess last Friday night especially The Noble Bar and Ann Molloy.

Good luck to the Donegal Senior and Minor teams this Sunday against Antrim.
