The Naomh Conaill GAA club and the Glenties youth club have combined together to launch the Naomh Conaill GAA & Glenties Youth club Alcohol & Substance Abuse Policy, ASAP, which is encouraged under the the GAA ASAP programme on the 17th May 2009. This will essentially be an educational awareness programme with regard to Alcohol & Substance Abuse. This policy was put together with the help of the leaders/parents from the youth club and special praise must go to the young people from the under 16s, minors and ladies teams from the Naomh Conaill GAA club who helped give their views and ideas with regard to this policy. The Limelight nightclub has also supported this policy and the clubs wish to thank them for their co-operation. This programme will get underway in the coming weeks and will be an ongoing initative in the Glenties community from both the Naomh Conaill GAA club and the Glenties Youth club.
