Glenties Notes 17th November 2009

Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to Joe Mc Grath and family, Mullantyboyle, Glenties on the death last week of Joe’s father Paddy Mc Grath, Sionmills; also to the late Damien Mc Grath’s family, The Rock, Glenties and to all the relatives and friends.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family, brothers, relatives and friends of Billy Duncan, Tullyard, Glenties, who died on Sunday last.

Family Mass
Next Sunday 22nd November the 11.a.m. Mass in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties will be celebrated as the Family Mass, for which the children of the parish will prepare the Liturgy.

Charity Night in Paddy’s Bar
On Friday 20th November, Head Shaving and Waxing will take place in Paddy’s Bar, Glenties in aid of I. S. P. C. C. and Child Line. Sponsorship Cards are available around the town. This is a night not to be missed. On Saturday 21st there will be a Snooker Competition, also in Paddy’s starting at 12 noon sharp. Entry fee for snooker is €15. All the money goes to the charities mentioned. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Glenties Drama Group presents “Happy Birthday Dear Alice” a comedy by Bernard Farrell, in The Community Centre, Glenties on December 11th, 12th, 13th, at 8.30 p.m. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Bingo
Winners at the Tuesday night Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties were – Vincent Mc Granaghan, Donegal won the jackpot of € 400. Sally Mc Guigan, Johnny Bonner, Rose Mc Groarty, Teresa Molloy, Rosemary Whelan, Ardara, Sally Mc Guigan, Margaret Gallagher and Eamonn Boyle won € 100 each. Teresa Molloy, Fintown, Breege Gallagher, Rosbeg, John Boyle, Fintown, Breege Gallagher, Rosbeg, Isobel Mc Loone, Martin Molloy, James O’ Donnell, Keadue, James O’ Donnell, Keadue, Frances Furey, Annmarie Hunter, and Patricia Molloy won € 50 each. Fay Moore, Mickey Herron and Sally Mc Hugh won € 35 each.
