Cllr. Slowey welcomes the allocation of the following roads monies in the Glenties area in 2010 – 1. Three short sections (1200metres) of the Glen of Glenties Road, damaged by bad winter (€ 75,000), 2. Kilrean Clusai road 1500 metres surface dress (two sections) (€ 31,500), 3. Drumalough Bridge, Glenties. New metal parapets to increase width and straighten approach roads (€ 20,000), 4. Fintown Road. Short section before Straboy (€ 21,500), 5. Derryloghan Cleengort: Patch and surface dress extended sections (€ 31,500), 6. Meenalargan. From the regional road. Patch and surface dress extended sections (€ 31,500), 7. Meenagolan. Surface dressing an 800 metre section at a cost of € 18,000, 8. Kingarrow Bridge: € 40,000 upgrading, 9. Ballinamore Bridge € 45.000 to reconstruct a collapsed bridge, 10. Fintown. Lough Muck. Surface dressing (approximately 1,400 metres) at a cost of € 31,500. 11. Millwheel – Ballinamore road. Surface dress (800 metres) of roadway at a cost of € 36,000, 12. There will be a Meeting of Glenties Parish Council, which will include a very interesting Sustainable Energy Demonstration on Thursday 25th March in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties at 9.00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
All parents wishing to enrol their child / children for the September 2010 term please call to the playschool between 9.30 a.m. – 10.30 a.m. from Monday 22nd until Friday 26th March, to register your child.
