Glenties Notes 27th March 2015

First Child:
Congratulations to Laura and Ben Craig, Church, Road, Glenties on the birth recently of their first baby, a little girl (Lily).

Wedding Bells:
Congratulations to Caroline Mc Brearty, Stracastle, Glenties and Martin Gillespie, Derrydruel, Lettermacaward, who were married recently in the Church of the Holy Family, Edeninfagh, Glenties.

Good Friday Family Table Quiz:
Naomh Conaill GAA club invite you to a Family Table Quiz on Good Friday 3rd April at 7.30 p.m. in the Community Centre, Glenties. Teams of 4, € 5 per person or under 16s teams of 5, € 3 per person. Tea/coffee will be served at the interval. Come along and enjoy a fun evening.

Glenties Palm Sunday Masses:
Saturday 28th March 7.30 p.m. Sunday 29th March 8 a.m. & 11a.m. The Blessing of Palms will take place at the beginning of all the Masses

Edeninfagh Palm Sunday Mass:
Next Sunday – 29th March 12 mid-day.
The Blessing of Palms will take place at the beginning of Mass.

“Do This In Memory”
The Paris Based Preparation Programme for First Holy Communion called ~ “Do This In Memory” will continue Next Sunday ~ 29th March at 11a.m. Mass.

Wednesday 1stApril 8.00 p.m. in Ardara

Edeninfagh Easter Confessions:
Next Sunday ~ 29th March immediately after 12 mid-day Mass.

First Holy Communion
Children from St. Riaghan’s, Drimnacrosh N.S. Scoil Mhuire and Kilkenny N. S. will receive their First Holy Communion in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Saturday April 25th at 11 a.m. Mass.

The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind:
The Volunteers, who collected money for The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind in Glenties, Fintown, and Kilclooney, would like to Thank Everyone who donated money to the cause. The Total collected was €1, 095. Thanks for all the generous donations.

Cake Sale:
There will be a Cake Sale in aid of the Glenties Day Centre on Good Friday 3rd April from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Day Centre. All goods are home baked. Please support.
