Wedding Bells
Congratulations to Katie Greenwood, Mullinamina, Glenties and Brendan Kearns from Co. Mayo who were married in Glenties on Saturday last.

Congratulations to Columba O’Donnell, Meenahalla, Glenties and Brid Byrne, Kilcar who were married in Knock on Friday last.

Fiddlers Weekend
From Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October the 27th Annual Fiddlers Weekend takes place in Glenties. If you like traditional music Glenties is the place to be this weekend.

School Musical
Glenties Comprehensive School would like to invite teenage and adult members of the community to take part in their upcoming School Musical – Les Miserable. An open workshop / chorus call with Shaun Ryan, Anne Gallagher and Paula Mc Nelis will take place on Wednesday 7th October at 7.30 p.m. in the School Gym. Further details regarding the musical will be available at the chorus call.

Tug O War
Congratulations to the Irish Tug O War Team who won a gold medal at 680kilo at the European Tug-O-War Championships held recently in the Netherlands, especially to the two local men Donal and Connell Ward from Meenavale, Glenties who were on the team.

Collection
The Labour Party Annual National Collection will be taken up at Church Gates in Glenties and Edeninfagh on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October.

Halloween Fancy Dress Ball
It is getting near that time of year again, so put your thinking caps on, for the 11th Annual Halloween Fancy Dress Ball, which takes place in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties on Sunday 25th October. This annual fundraiser for the Christmas Lights has been a great success over the years and the committee hopes they will have your support this year again.

Youth Choir
The next practice for the Youth Choir will be on Saturday 3rd October at 5.30 p.m. All members are asked to attend.

Friends of Letterkenny Hospital:
The Friends of Letterkenny Hospital would like to thank everyone who supported their annual collection at the Glenties Harvest Fair. The amount collected was €1,306.1c.
