Supporting Safer Communities Campaign
Gardaí wish to take this opportunity to create awareness among the public of their ability to prevent crime. This can be done through greater awareness of the need to secure their personal belongings, and to be able to identify property and valuables, by marking and photographing them. Ensure property is not visible in vehicles in public places and that vehicles are locked when parked and left unattended. This includes when parked at home. Road users are also reminded of their capability of assisting with road safety, by wearing seatbelts, not using mobile phones and obeying speed limits. Further safety and security advice is available by contacting your local Garda Station (24 hours) at 9551108 or www.garda.ie
