Glenties Notes on 16th April 2007

Fiddle and Dance Classes with the Campbells, Connie Mc Kelvey and Ann Connaghan will be held in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties on Saturday 21st April and Saturday 19th May.  The fiddle classes are from 11am – 1pm and dance classes from 2pm- 4pm.  Classes – 10 Euro. 

 

On Saturday 19th May a Ceili Dance will be held in Edeninfagh Hall from 9pm – 11ish.  Admission is 5Euro.  Music is by The Campbells and Friends.

The winners of the Glenties Community Centre Easter Draw were ~ 1st Cormac Logue, 2nd Garreth Morrow, 3rd John Doherty, 4th Teresa Cunningham and 5th Christopher Molloy.  Thanks to everybody who participated in the draw.

 

The new Fire Station at Mill Road, Glenties was officially opened by Minister of State Pat the Cope Gallagher on Friday 13th April 2007.

 

Sincere sympathy is extended to Rosaleen Mc Elhinney, Station Road and James Gallagher, Ard Patrick, Glenties on the death of their brother, Denis Gallagher, Loughros Point, Ardara, which took place last week, also on the deaths of their aunt, Margaret Gallagher and cousin, Jack Gallagher, whose deaths also occurred last week and to all the relatives and friends.

 

Congratulations to John Mc Closkey, Glenties and Avril Finnerty, Kilclooney  who were married in Kilclooney Church, last Saturday.

 

Congratulations to Tara Dooley who graduated from NUI Galway with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Health and Safety Systems.  Tara is a daughter of John and Adele Dooley, Narin Road, Glenties.

 

Congratulations to Rosaleen and Mark Mc Devitt, the Rock, Glenties on the birth recently of their sixth child a little sister (Emma) for Shane, Danielle, Emily, Natalie and Mark.
