Glenties Notes on April 3rd 2003

Congratulations to Clare and Connie Campbell, Mill Road, Glenties on the birth recently in Letterkenny Hospital, of their first child, a baby girl. Clare is a daughter of P.J. and Teresa Furey, Mullanmore and Connie is a son of Charlie and Mary Campbell, Meenavale.

Congratulations to Francis Houston, Main St. Glenties and Susie Shovlin, Ballykillduff, Portnoo who got engaged recently. Francis is a son Francie and Josie Houston, The Rock, Glenties and Susie is a daughter of Margaret and the late Packie Shovlin, Ballykillduff.

Congratulations to John Gildea, who was presented with the Player of the Year Award by the Donegal Supporters Club, Dublin at a function recently in the Garda Club. John is a son of Gerry and Sarah Gildea, Straboy, Glenties.

Congratulations to all the boys and girls of the Parish of Iniskeel who received the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Philip Boyce in St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Sunday 30th March.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Mary Monaghan (formerly Mc Nelis, Stranaglough, Glenties) on the death of her husband, Jim Monaghan, London, which took place last week in London, also to his family, relatives and friends.
