The Ard Patrick housing estate will be 50 years old in 2005 and will be celebrating its “golden jubilee” over the bank holiday weekend in June. A committee has been elected and is currently planning a host of events for the occasion. It is envisaged that this will attract a large number of Ard Patrick exiles home for the weekend. A number of fundraising events will be taking place over the coming months and it is hoped that these will be supported by the community at large.

Well done to Michael Fitzgerald, Dr. Mc Closkey Crescent who completed the 2004 Dublin Marathon in 4 hours 20minutes on Monday 25th October. He was a member of the Eamonn Coghlan team who were running in aid of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and the Grace Nolan Foundation. Michael’s contribution with your help was 1450Euro. He would like to thank all those who supported him, the shops and business premises who displayed the sponsorship cards and all those who contributed.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of John O’ Donnell, Ard Patrick, Glenties who died in Letterkenny Hospital on Sunday morning.
