Glenties Notes on October 11th 2002

Congratulations to James and Clare Gallagher, Glen Road, Glenties who celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary recently.

Congratulations to Carol Hamill, Mullinamina, Glenties and Gerard Porter, Carndonagh who were married in Glenties on Saturday last.

The death took place in St. James’ Hospital, Dublin on Tuesday 1st October, of Mary Molloy, Rathgar, Dublin, daughter of the late Peter and Bridget Molloy, Upper Mully, Glenties. Her remains were brought to St. Connell’s Church, Glenties on Thursday evening. Fr. Nigel Ó Gallachóir C.C. Glenties celebrated Requiem Mass on Friday morning. Readings were by Mary’s niece and nephew, Treasa and Sean Molloy. Ned Byrne C.E.O. St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin and Mary Casey, a nursing colleague of Mary’s read Prayers of the Faithful. Other colleagues, Sheila Mc Laughlin and Phil Burke, nephews Peadar and Pauric Molloy brought the Gifts to the Altar. The Reflection and Tribute to Mary was by Tom Houlahan, Director of Nursing in St. Vincents Hospital. Music and singing was by Sr. Immaculata, Thomas Donoghue and Amanda Mc Guigan. Burial took place in Edeninfagh Graveyard. Mary is survived by two brothers, Peadar, Lacklea, Glenties, Patrick, Ballybofey, one sister, Bried, Dublin, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, to whom sincere sympathy is extended.
