Glenties Notes on October 21st 2004

Congratulations to Martin Kennedy, Main St. Glenties and Anne Marie Mc Bride, Gweedore who got engaged recently.

Congratulations to our Minor Team who won the Donal MacBhaird Cup for the second year in succession when they defeated the Kilcar team in the replay of the Minor A championship in Ballybofey on Sunday 17th October 2004. A large cavalcade accompanied the team on their journey home and bonfires blazed along the route. There was a great crowd in town to welcome the team with the cup. Well done again Lads!

Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Hannah Keeney, Straoughter, Glenties who died in Letterkenny Hospital on Sunday last.

Best wishes to Michael Fitzgerald, Dr. Mc Closkey Crescent, Glenties who is running with the Eamonn Coghlan Team in the Dublin Marathon next Monday 25th October. All monies raised will go directly to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children and a donation will be made to the Grace Nolan Foundation. You are not too late yet to make a donation.
